Since his debut in 2016,by Louis van gaal, he's had potential and had the excuse of being a kid, but 8/9 seasons later he's not a kid anymore and should have reached the top, but that never happened,, 2 seasons ago people was talking about him all over what he had done (29/30)goals in all competitions, but as the seasons go, 1 swallow doesn't make a summer, given the contract he's on over £300,000 a week, i think it's shocking that everyone is saying poor Rashford oh he looks sad, down, oh he has problems of the field etc, welcome to the world called life for anyone else, who have to struggle to get bye, but they don't have £300,000 to soften the blow, personally I think he should have put his heart and soul into his game and shown us the fans what it means to him to be playing for Manchester United, yes we all can blame, the club, managers, but when you get players on big wages not trying to help their team mates and playing for the team, Tbh he is not alone in this team, there's a few that needs to follow him out the door, Against city on Sunday the two teams didn't overwhelm, but in the second half, United did something they haven't done in a long time WAS FIGHT TOGETHER, As a team right until the end, Amad has been class this year, And kissing the CLUB CREST And showing the world what it means to him to be in the side and to play for Manchester United, i Tip my hat to the fella, so when people get upset with media about United transfer listing players that are just not giving their all, or simply not good enough for the transfer fees paid for them, it's time they went, and the new manager is the best yet as at least he has the khaoonies😂 to stand up speak his mind and no matter what player in the team can be dropped at any point, I think Rashford should leave for the good of the club and for himself, To get a new challenge hopefully it happens in the next transfer window.

Rashford being a local lad and academy graduate is no excuse for tolerating his bad performances, his laziness and his bad attitude towards teammates. He's not bigger than the club, and he's not the top shot he thinks he is. Seniority counts for nothing if you're not delivering on and off the pitch. It's a results based business in the end, if you don't perform you can be replaced. He's been given far too much time to turn things around and he hasn't. Sorry lad, time's up.
@edittide984210 сағат бұрын
He has the right to coming of age story. He exploded on the scene and did great things on and off the pitch. His social stature grew as his career grew. He was the franchise player….However…. Marcus has always needed the enviroment and people around him to bring out the best in him. He doesn’t have the mental fortitude of a truly great player and therefore as he struggles on the pitch, he is completely reliant on the enviroment to pull him up. United has been unstable for as long as he played for the club. He has had to endure many stop/starts and once again he is at a juncture yet again, BUT this time it feels different. He doesn’t seem to want to. His heart isn’t in it. Whilst his PR may say otherwise he knows this deep down inside. It is time for a change. Good by and good luck Marcus.

Rashford was not a flop at Man Utd despite what some may say. He’s actually scored a decent amount of goals for United, many in big games too. The problem is that it seems his ego grew faster than his production & performances. The club actually wanted him to succeed. They gave him Saudi type of money in England they tried to have faith in him because he’s an academy player. But the off field incidents coupled with his lackadaisical attitude during games necessitated Ineos current approach towards him. I still appreciate his service towards the club. Somewhere along the way, he lost the youthful determination & hunger he had when he initially debuted. Then again this happened to other academy players too like Greenwood, Pogba, Lingard etc. Man Utd must also change the approach towards academy players, don’t throw the entire kitchen sink at them because of 1 good season.

For years now the biggest problem at the club was and maybe still is the inflated salaries of underperforming players. All that money that could be used for other necessary and positive expenses, like renovation and better facilities, is going towards keeping players that have lost the hunger to perform. This, pains as it does to say it, is definitely a step in the right direction. But more importantly, the contracts need to be properly negotiated by the transfer agents so we don't keep buying white elephants in the future, and keep the players motivated.

Ironically Utd's ability to generate so much revenue is one if those good things that lead us down this path. With Glazers not hiring football people to make football decisions for the longest time it meant we had inexperienced business people making decisions about contracts. He brought the ball up, stopped and passed backwards. All the time. He seemed to always sulk. No smiles. What was happening? Not being on the team for the City match was the lowest point. He needs to get his mojo back somehow. A new team may be best. I wish him well for all those great goals.

in the past, when united bought a key player and paid them well, the player always delivered - Ruud, cole, yorke, sheringham, forlan, kagawa. rashi doesnt have motivation anymore , the 350k is ruining him

You really put Forlan and kagawa in there?

In any other transaction, it would be called a rip off or a scam. Paying high wages should be in exchange for high end performances, not what we are consistently served with by Rashford.

Yeah, feel really sorry that Rashford hasn't shown the level of commitment to the club needed to keep him as an automatic choice on the teamsheet. Maybe selling him on will send a message to our up and coming starlets that nobody is too big to be sold. The club always comes first.

He is talented player, we all will be agreed. But, he has lacked of motivation in last 2 or 3 seasons. He needs fresh air, and we need full motivated player to play here weekly. I hope ineos can let him moves in the end of the season, while he is in his prime age, and he can bring good extra money for the club.

Point to note is that Bruno doesn't fit in the 3-4-3 formation either. He's actually not fit to be at the club overall.

Fair points Sam. I don't want to see him turn up for Spurs either. Amorim will be taking a step backwards if Rashford plays. If we plan on letting him go in January, then obviously he can't take the place of someone that needs to develop by January. Good bye Marcus.

Completely right, it‘s time to sort the player with no attitude out. Rashy, Garna, etc. should leave with no excuses. The Manager must have the power and backing fron the board like it was with sir Alex…

He should go to the MLS. He would be so much happier, he would be up there with the best in the league and he has friends out there. It would be so much less pressure and would suit his lifestyle. He could afford to drop a few quid off his wage bill for a better life.

I remember discussing about rashford from colleagues from manchester. And they were all speaking high about him. That was in 2020. I told them straight up “ he is not fit to be a manchester united player. He isn’t consistent enough. Yes he helped all these people good on the lad but as a player he is bang average at best. They were all annoyed at me. Now am proven that an right lmao

It's over for Rashford. After years of hoping to be our Steven Gerrard and burning through multiple managers trying to help him be half the player Mbappe is it has come to this. It's no secret Rashford is my favorite player and the player I'd backed day one until the 21/22 season. That Villa game is where I was done with him and he became our Walcott. He should have left after the disaster class season under Ole and Rangnick. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed Rashford didn't step up when we needed him the most.

I've always said it for years... If you want to be a Cup team you pick players like Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford. If you want League Titles and Champions Leagues then you get players in the ilk of Haaland or Salah alongside talented youth like Amad.

I was the biggest Rashford fan but enough is enough. The guy is in the most blessed position possible. Getting paid more money than he can handle to do a job we all want, for the club he's always supported. Despite all that, his attitude and work ethic are amongst the worst ive ever seen. Get rid of him ASAP.

Take emotion out of it: - Going to turn 28 this year. - On reported £300,000-£350,000 a week. - Averages 15 PL goal involvements a season (for the past 7 years). - Averages 2291 PL minutes a season (for the past 7 years). - Can only play on the LW but has struggled to hold down that spot. - Multiple disciplinary issues. - Walks around the pitch most games.

I honestly feel sorry for Marcus. He is never out the news, never off KZbin and always discussed all over social media. I think this has had a negative mental health effect on Marcus. No one else in football gets the negative screen time he gets. Media networks, like Sky Sports (and others), need to have a long look at what they have done to him. All for click bate and watch numbers. They are not the one and only issue and maybe he needs to look after himself better than what he has but there is a large proportion of the blame to be with the media, social and other wise. One thing is for sure, like the great Sir Alex said, no one player is bigger than the club. I hope he pulls himself around and changes his ways, but if not maybe the best thing for him to do is to move on... I for one have enjoyed watching Marcus and would wish him all the best for his future...

What's being English got to do with anything. It was the Glazers (Americans) and Rashford's own American PR agency (owned by Jay Z) who created the myth and used to increase the value of the club by around £5 billion. NOthing to do with English men or even "the media" (whoever they are)

Madrid fans having serious Mbappe out conversations and we out here sentimental about Rashford talking about "potential" , "one of our own" , "too much abuse" , "what if environment is right maybe he" for a 27 year old man who is supposed to be in his prime with 9 years in starting 11 This is the reason we are 13th , a mid table club
@bwright88dragon6 сағат бұрын
To be fair Utd has always been a more "family" orientated club in how fans treat players, especially academy players that graduate to the senior team. Madrid on the hand have never been sentimental, didn't matter if you're local or not. You don't perform for long enough and fans want you out.

"Let’s be honest - Rashford has had his moments, but he never won us the Premier League. Talent only takes you so far when consistency, mentality, and hunger are missing. The truth is, some players at United have let their egos inflate to the point they think they’re bigger than the club. But here’s the reality: NO ONE is bigger than Manchester United. This club is built on history, on values, and on success - and when players don’t live up to those standards, it’s time to move on. United is a global institution, a footballing giant, and as a business and club, it will always do what’s necessary to succeed. And right now, success requires change. We need to clear out the deadwood - yes, even some big names - and rebuild a squad that understands what it truly means to wear that shirt. A team that plays as a unit, not as individuals chasing personal glory. A team that fights for the badge, for each other, and for the fans. We’re seeing the start of a shift at United this is the time for the club to take bold steps and reset the culture. Let’s bring in players who have the hunger, the discipline, and the mindset to take us back to the top. It’s about footballing intelligence, teamwork, and desire. This club was built by legends who gave everything for that badge. It’s time to get back to that, and I believe we’re on the verge of something massive if we do. United fans deserve nothing less than a team that reflects the greatness of this club. Let’s build for the future - as a team, as a unit, as Manchester United."

Disagree slightly that there's no position in Amorim's system for Rashford. That sounds like an excuse to me. He's not an out-and-out winger, nor is he a centre forward, he's a left-sided attacker, and there's a place in the system for that. Rashord, or rather his performances, are not good enough, and I'm not sure there's any system that can make them so, anymore.
@davidlouden8429 сағат бұрын
His best seasons took place when we played counter attacking football. He lacks the footballing intelligence to play in front of defenders. When he is asked to, he plays backwards or sideways and offers nothing. Its not entirely his fault, he wasnt developed by Jose or Ole. But the fault of under developing him isnt a reason to keep him. He simply is not good enough.

I’m sorry Sam, this does not suck. Rashford doesn’t apply himself and has become a liability. His and Garna’s performances have dipped beyond belief not to mention their immature decision making both on and off the pitch, chance creation from wide areas have plummeted I can’t wait to see the back of him.
