I like the separate commentary. We can see what your thinking without influencing the others decisions. Plus Frank losing his mind when Dylan didnt react the way he thought with the parting shot Grimsnarl, moments like that make this format a great one moving forward. Especially after watching Shadys League format, i like the added commentary.

Type specific mechanics I learned that I didn't know when I first played Pokemon: Fire types cannot be burned Grass types cannot be affected by spore or powder attacks Electric types cannot be paralyzed Dark types cannot be affected by prankster Steel types is immune to getting poisoned (the status, not just the attacks) Poison types are also immune to getting poisoned Ice types cannot be frozen Ghost types cannot be trapped in battle

@@ShallBePurified Electric type Pokémon are fully immune to paralysis, they are even protected from sources of paralysis that aren't electric (think stun spore). However this wasn't in the game until generation VI. Ground types CAN be paralyzed, but due to their immunity not by electric type moves. I don't know of an ability that ignores immunities (Mold Breaker came to mind but that negates abilities not immunities, though it could sometimes remove an immunity from something like levitate) but there are specific attacks that can negate certain immunities. I think there is like 6 of em? Maybe 7? I think there was a Gmax move that did something to flying's immunity but I don't recall off the top of my head.

I don’t think Dylan misplayed by not sending in the Gyrados / Regi after the U turn in the beginning, because the intimidate would happen before Belly Drum, and so it would have maxed his attack anyways, because Belly Drum sets the stat to plus 6 even if it was dropped previously

Make it a match for the best two out of three: once one team is eliminated, you move to the other, and the first to defeat both opposing teams wins. Either way, thanks for another great video.

I think you should do a tier system for draft like battles, you have like your s+ tier, mons that are so good that having them banned is a considerable option, s tier for good Pokémon that have a place for being as good as they are but just aren’t as powerful as s+ it would make more fusions seen and also not just 6 broken mons vs 6 broken mons that’s what’s fun about draft leagues cooking up sets for Pokémon in lower tiers that can make them super good

Prankster only lets you move first in your priority bracket. Since parting shot is not a +1 priority move, aqua jet goes first

Prankster doesn’t actually work that way. It increases status moves priority by 1 and then speed tiers apply. So the mon that used aqua jet has a higher speed stat then the Mon using prankster parting shot the aqua jet goes off first.
