Giraffes have no vocal cords, and can't make sounds the way other animals do. They do make some humming sounds of their own - but at such frequencies that humans are unlikely to hear them.

The o with the dots, called an umlaut which is German, makes it an "ur' sound and the "i" has more of an "ee" sound. So it's more like "Kurnigsteeger." The more you know
