I have 2 of the Unity GASCAP's currently.. One of which is installed on a Surefire M640DFT with the Unity AXON SL, and the other on a Modlite PLHv2 using the Modbutton Lite. I've been really impressed with it so far, zero issues with them. The way the cable is routed on the GASCAP is clean!

Have you noticed any drop in light output with the axon SL?

@depthcharge126 No. I actually feel like the output has been slightly increased using the AXON SL + GASCAP compared to the standard Surefire plug setup. Unity does advertise the GASCAP as "near-zero-loss output" when you combine it with the USB-C versions of the AXON SL and/or Modbutton Lite. I need to do a proper side-by-side comparison then swap the plugs and see if there really is a difference.

Do you know if the gas cap is compatible with the Modlite OKW-18650?

I'm utterly baffled how a single company can have a complete roster full of banger products. I'm sure in time you'll get pass-through charging, and all the other cool stuff that people wanted to see. But, tis is excellent execution.

I can see in the future they make some sort of attachment that can be plugged in for charging. It would be even better if it was portable too. That would be genuinely so Big Brain.

Main reason I was debating on getting this was the possible recharging capability…I guess not anymore.

Once I figured it out, I love my gascap. You can feel the weight difference. Its also nice that the connector doesn't stick out of the back like the surefire. The surefire plug is terrible. Not only do they waste space by sticking out the back, I have also found them to be pretty unreliable connector. Gascap is way better.

standard and ubiquitous port. think of the manufacturing and modding benefits. now companies don't have to reverse engineer and manufacture Surefire's plug design.

use kynar wire and pot your connections and MAYBE I will buy your switches again. I'm not asking for waterproofing, but as it stands your switches are a liability. I've done better work by hand.
