1.) It would be cool to have some textures on the interior of the houses. 2.) I recommend looking into occlusion culling if you haven't yet, since making a map this size can get extremely laggy on lower end machines (I know from experience). 3.) Also you have an insane amount of trees outside the playable area! I would look into billboard rendering also, that feels like a huge and unnecessary cause of lag. 4.) That database service is really cool! I'll have to check it out. Loved the video! Can't wait for the next one :)

1) Maybe but I want to stay with the low poly style 2) I am doing occlusion culling and LOD 3) If you look closely at the trees really far away they are LOD loaded so they are a very low poly model at a far distance from the player 4) It is really cool! Have fun! Thanks man!

0:19 - _when xzippyzachx doesn't even watch his own videos all the way through._ Also, you should make it so that the server name from the properties file is used as the name of the server window. That way at 4:28 it would display the server name instead of D:\Data\Unity\... In regular console apps you can use Console.title to change this, and although I'm not quite sure if it works the same with the Unity console, I would assume there _is_ a way to change it :)

I dunno about you but I watch my videos through in Premiere and then upload them to KZbin, if I watch them on KZbin and see a mistake I have to re-render everything and reupload

I hadn't herd of darkrift 2 before your comment. I just did a quick search on it. It looks like a good solution as long as you are able to read and understand there documentation. Most networking solution's do the same thing with minor differences. You won't know if you like it until you try it yourself.

I would start small. Don't start a big project right away that you can never finish. Start by following a bunch of tutorials on KZbin, I suggest watching Brackeys! Good luck! :p

When you move the camera up the gun moves towards you and when you move it down it the gun moves away from you, is this intentional?

It kind of is intended. The weapon is not directly attached to the camera like most fps games. Instead it is following the arm movement of the character. I think this makes the weapon feel like it is actually being held in my opinion. Still needs some tweaking I am sure.

Not sure what you mean about the healing? Right now you get healing pickups to heal. And single shot guns do have recoil.

@@xzippyzachx indeed, I noticed you saying that, but could an admin hypothetically take advantage of that by flying outside of the intended boundaries thus giving him an edge over the other players? They will have an advantage anyway by being able to fly around even when staying within the boundaries right?! Or am I missing something?

An admin would not use it normally. Its just there if they need to fly around for some reason (for example take screen shots from a high angle). They would not normally use it in a game. Unless they are mean admins I guess
