this was fantastic, but am I missing something? I'm having trouble figuring out how to just make a visual effect graph that spawns particles for a certain duration and then stops. Do you know how to do this? (I'm not colliding my particles with anything as I'm working in 2d and that produced some pretty weird results)

Is there virtually any way to detect collision in any way other than predetermined primitive? Am I screwed if I want this to be visual effect of when you hit an enemy, and the combat can happen when you are in corridor, so blood effect can hit the wall, rather than the floor (or, for example, you simply have multiple heights, and I don't want blood to go through the floor if I fight on elevation)? Should I stick to legacy particle system in this scenario just for its physics-based collision?

Very nice! Good Job on that. I have a quick question about it: So i spawn this VFX on enemy's where they are hit and if vfx is rotated this blood drops dont fall on ground but fall on air with angle. So how do i change it to always hit ground no matter the rotation ?

If you dont have trails and sparks on sealing, check if you deleted the whole update. You need to delete only turbulence, not update

Effects work great! However, in WebGL I get this error in the browser's console log and the effects don't show up. "Invalid VFX Particle System. It is skipped."

Not sure why, but try googling why WebGL skips some particle systems.

Could be that you dont have an "URP/HDRP - Asset" set under [ProjectSettings->Graphics->ScriptableRenderPipelineSettings]

Nice. Thanks. I'm trying to create a realistic FPS game and I also want to create an effect for blood in water, such as when you shoot an enemy and they fall in the water. How would this be achieved? Particles spreading out from the wound with a stencil shader to cut it off above the surface?

Awesome video, I really like the cartoon effect with this. The only thing is, when I whant to add this blood to my player, when I move the player, particules follow it which is annoying. How to locate them into the world space ? (I already tried the Local and World button in the init and update node of the shader but there is an other problem with the AABox which changes its position)

Just had the same problem. Fixed it by doing the following: Set the whole system to World and then adding some Nodes. Connect a Get Attribute (Position) -> Change Space (Position) -> Set Position (in the Initialize Block). Now you can drag around the Bloodsource or whatever, the particles wont follow and stay on the ground. Hope this helps :)

i had this issue as well, you just need to look at erosion slider in the VFX graph and adjust it higher to somewhere around 0.80~ and it should begin to show up again.
