Really appreciate your work, started learning VFX thanks to you, as a new person in VFX one of the main problems for me is setting up a scene, putting on materials , seting up global volume ... and no matter what i do Unity always brings some errors , so i think it would be really really useful for new people if there was a simple very short tutorial about setting up a scene to have a place to experiment and try different things , thank you again for all your hard work

@GabrielAguiarProd2 жыл бұрын
Make sure it's Current in the GetAttribute (position) and that you multiply it by a big value. It's also important the order in which the blocks are added to the Initialize Particle. They influence each other in some ways. So make sure it's the same order as in the video :) Hope this helps!

Great video! I was just wondering if this is possible in older versions of VFX Graphs. I have version 10.5.1 and i dont see the bounds mode in the initialize particle for trail. Also im stuck in the part with the cone because set Position (shape:cone) wont let me connect my cone to it.
@GabrielAguiarProd2 жыл бұрын
Don't necessary need to connect the cone property, that's just to make things easier by being able to control it in the inspector instead of opening vfx graph. As for bounds mode, not sure what you are referring to.
@mikegorges8855 Жыл бұрын

Hey gabe, I was wondering if you know a solution to why my particles diapear if I look away from the gameobject that they are attached too. It kinda breaks the effect :(

That's because of the Bounds in the Initialize Particle, you can increase its size.

Gabriel - you are such a fantastic teacher and your content is relevant and thorough - thanks so much for all you do. I do have a question - I am having an issue where the particles/trails are seeming to shoot out forever and the "animation" never restarts. I can compile and they'll shoot out as configured, then just continue on to infinity. I thought it had something to do with lifetime configuration but I've mirrored your instructions exactly, twice now. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks again.
@GabrielAguiarProd2 жыл бұрын
If you are referring to the fact that they keep on emitting particles in a infinite loop, that's normal. You can fix it by selecting the Spawn block and in the inspector you can control the looping options.

It's with a Particle System that only emits light. In the renderer it's set to None. Particle System gives you a lot of control over the light, with the color over lifetime you can make it tremble for example.
