I been for a court appeal twice and won. After a review earlier this year I was awarded the standard rate of mobility. I get other help and allowencies as well because I live alone and have learning difficulties so exempts me for paying towards council tax or any extra rent that the Torys bought in in 2010 or 2011 with the benefit cap. I had a few people on Facebook that work intimidate me by telling me they hope I lose my appeal and am made to get a job. They all got blocked. I have even had people commenting saying I get to much money with all the things I got and they work and cannot afford it. I just tell them do something about it in you workplace and stop being an arse kisser if you are one and join and union if there is one. You should all stick together and demand. Employers know by keeping some of you divided there is less chance of problems like striking. They also have a lot of agencies workers now as well to prevent striking. Reminds me of Oliver Twist and please sir can I have some more.

My husband has been waiting for the Tribunal over a year now & still haven’t got a date… He has mental health surely the telephone assessment isn’t right for someone suffering cognitive issues too.

Hi are there particular illnesses that automatically guarantee you get pip?

Only one I know off is that you have not long to live but also from my understanding it is not what you have but how it effects you

@@injusticemattersuk4744 I have the lower pip but who I did it with who does hundrest said they should have given me higher, so waiting for a hearing date, in my eared it is 31 weeks then it needs to be a extra five weeks for you to be able to phone up and ask someone to do anything, really should not take this long and if pip was being more tr I truthful and giving people who are unwell the correct amount then their would not be this silly long list, also do not like pip as you have to go into how things effect you each day, and tbh I want to not think about that but what to start feeling more myself, taking twenty five tablets everyday plus inhaler, pills are for pain

People on disability benefits are treated as criminals. No matter their illness, no matter how or why they have their illness, they are are treated like footballs, kicked from pillar to post, the system let's them breath a little then trys to drown them. Stu what you're doing is like light shining through the water and giving a helping hand to many. It's rare these days. I take my hat off to you.

I have just been told i have failed and wont get limited capability. I struggle everyday to walk my son to school just looking after my son and keeping on top of house is too much for me and i only just manage. So now im supposed to add 30 hours work onto that 😢 I have called up for the mandatory reconsideration and they will ring me by 6 tomorrow. Nothing but stress and makes peoples mental health worse. If i could stay on the same money and just be left alone i would

Make sure you appeal if that doesn't work.

@@StuartMcGoo I am still waiting the answer for my mandatory reconsideration and apparently I am to actively look for and apply for jobs. Surely can't be right, what happens if I get a job just not turn up. 🤔

I called UC helpline and they sent did a mandatory consideration form on their end, saying I have to wait back to hear a response. Is it better to come from them or from myself? Please help asap it was cut off due to not accepting commitments but I always did, an appointment for a commitment review was coming up but it was in the future, then my claim got closed before it could even happen! How is this fair.
@madamz79 ай бұрын
Just got a call back and turns out that initial helpline person did not raise a mandatory consideration, instead they handed it over to someone else? So they lied? And I had to argue with the other guy for a while to figure this out, he was the one who raised the mandatory consideration form for me then and there and hear back within 28 days. I do not feel he advocated for me in a fair way due to our initial disagreements, I did not have a chance to fully explain the situation nor what was said to me in the initial call. I’m feeling so defeated.

He told me that apparantley after reporting a work change there is 7 days to accept new commitments on the to do section, which is simply not true I did not see anything on there, except a commitment review appointment in the future! How can I accept new commitments without a commitment review? This is so unfair!

It is and I think by the sound of that you would have grounds for appeal. I would find support from someone to help you with that.

I got more points on appeal than by the person who scored me because the appeal person took the time to phone me to clear a few things up that didn’t make sense on the medical assessment done by capital and once I answered honestly she gave me the missing points and apologised for the screw up as what I said made more sense than what the so called medical examiner had put in their statement also she had family with my conditions and even told me that the medical examiner had seemed to 1 be changing certain things I’d said and also playing down the illness which is not in their job description but about the changing what I said she found this out listening to the recording and reading what the examiner had put and it didn’t match what id responded always ask to be recorded it puts you in safer place and if the do lose it it looks worse for them than you

The assessors are paid bonuses to lie in there reports. They have to make sure a certain amount of people lose the disability benefit.
