Universal’s approach to new projects - plan and design in secret, then just start building without announcing and significant details, throwing as many crews as they can to get it done as soon as possible is far superior to Disney’s approach of announce everything up front, delay, scale back on the original promises and drag the work out as long as possible.

It's going to have its own dedicated bus lane for most of the four mile journey from North Campus, if you look at the new bus loop at City Walk now it will give you an idea of exactly how many buses they plan to run between the two campuses.bi don't think anyone will be waiting more than 10 mins for a bus between parks

i find all the 4 lands to be super exciting and interesting. i love harry potter, i love that they revive the classic monsters, i am thrilled for nintendo world and i love that they give how to train your dragon a whole land with multiple rides. those are so much more fun and cute and exciting as those pesci minions. although i am getting older and older i am super stoked for the new park. i guess i will be riding rollercoasters til the day i die!!

The only thing that I don’t like about the plans is that Epic Universe is doing a parking lot vs a parking garage like at Universal Orlando Resort. Parking Garages are better with space & cars don’t over heat

And you can safely get to your car during an extremely common Florida thunderstorm! And even if there’s no lightning, at least you’ll get to your car without being soaking wet. Although, having a tram ride back to your car after a long day of walking is nice too.

It's been 5 years since it has been announced, ground work started in February 2018 and it's just about to be done in late 2022 or early 2023. Obviously covid played a major role in how long it has taken with the closures and then strict reopening procedures, but it definitely feels like it’s more than that at this point. This isn’t even a new concept. Tron already exists at another disney park so I really don’t get what’s taking so long at this point.

That is still planned as far as I know, but will not begin construction until the rest of the park is finished. What we believe will be a Creature from the Black Lagoon ride is listed as phase 2 in the permits.

It's kind of a stretch for an idea, but going by the red/orange and blue colour schemes, I'd love for the giant duelling coasters to be a successor to Islands of Adventures' old _Dueling Dragons_ (or _Dragon Challenge,_ later on) ride that sadly got destroyed. Almost like the Fire and Ice Dragons reawakening (after being sealed away with the intention of all time, but eventually breaking free) and continuing their long-standing battle in the new generation!

Correct me if I’m wrong…this is the first major park to be built in the USA since Disney California Adventure (well, except for HardRock Park, which sadly and shockingly crashed and burned so prematurely…)…This is almost too exciting to be watching! I'm kinda interested with the "How to Train Your Dragon" dueling coaster that Universal is building for "Universal Epic". I distinctly remember for when they opened "Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge" in IOA, riders were throwing things at the other riders in the opposite riding cars which led to Universal to operating one car at a time. I remember hearing comments of people complaining that they wished Dueling Dragons/Dragon Challenge was operating like it was intended as a dueling coaster. It was a great ride and it kinda saddened me when that one closed for Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure" So my question is, "How does Universal think that history isn't going to repeat itself with this new coaster when they already know of the reality that this could happen again and cause them to decide to close what could be a potentially good ride later on?"

Nintendo World: not just a themed land in an amusement park, bit an entire theme park on its own! Here's how its lands should be divided: * Mario (subdivided into the main Super Mario series, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario Sports) * Pokemon *Wii (similar to ESPN's Wide World of Sports at Disney World, it would have pavilions dedicated to the activities found in Wii Sports and Wii Fit) * The Legend of Zelda * Animal Crossing * Super Smash Bros. (The centerpiece attraction) * Donkey Kong * Kirby * a game show based on Brain Age * Nintendogs (this wouldn't be part of the actual park, but a facility at the resort that serves as a luxury kennel)

here's what I need to see at the opening of the Classic Monsters land: 1) Ricou Browning is the Guest of Honor for the Grand Opening; he played the Gill-Man in all three Creature from the Black Lagoon movies (the swimming sequences, anyway); he's also the last living actor to have played one of the Classic Monsters 2) a larger than life statue dedicated to Lon Chaney, Jr.; not as any character, but the man himself. He was in 10 UCM movies, more than any other actor -- five as Larry Talbot, the Wolf Man; once as Frankenstein's Monster; three times as Kharis, the Mummy; and once as Count Dracula (technically his son, but the title was passed down). Always love an update from TPS!! Do we still think that the central hub will be an open to the public area and the individual lands will require the park reservations? That was a theory gloated a while ago that I haven’t heard much about recently.

I honestly do not know. I think some element of the design of the hub will still be utilized, but not so sure it will just allow anyone in. Instead maybe they will close the individual lands earlier and leave the hub open later, so you can dine and shop after the rides close. That would be a way to utilize the unique layout without making the hub free. And who knows, maybe the hub is free after 6 or something. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Everyone keeps focusing on what's happening in each land and the hub, but I have to be weird and focus on what's happening between the racing coasters and Wizarding 3. I noticed long ago that the concept art was suspect in this area. The coasters have weird bits in them so I Hardly Boysed the situation and discovered they totally cut-and-pasted the whole thing away from its original location, which was right next to Wizarding 3. (Just look at how this side of that land is now open to the trees, which it totally won't be because, you know... Paris. But also, a Wizarding World will have total immersion.) I cut-and-pasted it back and the coaster totally fits over there. Which isn't that exciting in and of itself, but I also noticed that the stripey-roofed building between the Dragon entrance and the park entrance looked like a cut-and-paste job as well. (It has lights only on one end, and the other end appears to be missing a chunk, telltale signs of cutting-and-pasting.) I then noticed its color scheme is the same as the color scheme of the "space restaurant" in this area so I cut-and-pasted-and-rotated the stripey building and the stripes are the same width as the ones on that roof. The curved portion connected to the Wizarding World, suggesting the coaster was originally themed to that land. Which, whatever, the project clearly changed themes and probably even type of coaster. Maybe they wanted to do something and Rowling said no. Or maybe their plans were too grandiose for Intamin to accomplish. That expansion plot does seem too narrow for anything other than another coaster, so this leads to the hope that a Wizarding coaster is still a possibility in the future. All that's just me being anal, BUT there are now two buildings in the concept art that are not going to be built as shown, and that is piquing my curiosity. If the hub building is just a food court, as rumored, then why put a different roof on it in the art? They could've just made it plain like the other hub roofs. This suggests the concept art was shown to someone for approval. Someone high up in Universal? Or one of their outside IPs? Are they hiding something Nintendo-themed??? Like Pokémon? Or is it a new IP we don't know about?? The "space-themed quick service restaurant" is even weirder. That's clearly not what they are building. Not only is there a tent where the round part should be - there's lots of space in the area so the tent wouldn't be here if they planned on building in this spot - but none of the permits show this building as even existing. Early plans show a restroom building built back from the hub and that appears to be the one foundation here. I think the round planetarium portion of the building was added to hide the pit fronting the coaster when it was planned to go here. Which is totally anticlimactic, but why put a building in the concept art if they never planned on building anything? Cover the pit with trees, like they did to the rest of this pad It's a fairly prominent building and its lack of existence will be noticed. So what's going on??? Nobody probably finds this crap interesting, but it fascinates me. Especially since I've been wondering if there's going to be enough to do here. We're talking 3 attractions in Nintendo, 2 in Monsters, 2 or 3 in Wizarding, 4 in Dragon, and 2.5 in the hub. Which is not a great number when they're down a show. So this area interests me because there's a lot of dirt movement back in the Wizarding-adjacent expansion pad. Yeah, it could just be due to all the dirt they're removing from the dueling coasters' pit - they are really burying the front half of this thing - but there's still a lot of dirt-shaping going on in an area that should be ignored right now. Are we getting the 4th Intamin coaster here? Maybe a clone of the F&F coaster rumored for Hollywood (which would actually solve TWO problems)? Or maybe it'll be nothing and I'm just getting people riled up, which, I admit is not beyond me... Keep watching!

Are the areas in the blue just future expansion plots for the sections of the park ? I remember there being talks about a water ride expansion in the monsters land….

Yes, a possible boat ride is still rumored for phase 2 at the Monsters land.
