Clear, preset and Enable can be used with all the flip-flops in any circuit. Here i have just explained universal shift register. GOOGLE doesn't explain anything, many websites are there which explains the things.

I am trying to build this in a bread board using 4 75153 MUX and 4 7474 flip flops. There should be 6 switches, 2 for S0 and S1, 4 for X0 to X3. Where would I connect S0 and S1? Does anyone have any idea?
