Alicia, two days ago the first press release said the hotels would be open March 20, 2025...that's a big clue! Stella Nova opens Jan 21, 2025 and Terra Luna will probably open in late March. Construction crews on site are being told the park will open right after Terra Luna opens, and those crews confirmed the park is still 4-5 months ahead of the original Summer 2025 scheduled opening. Expect soft openings and technical rehearsals in the park from early January until the park opens before Spring break. Watch for the earliest dates they will book for Terra Luna, as it will indicate how early the park will actually open. Does anyone really still believe that 20 months from today, July 8, 2025...that Epic Universe would just then be opening? That would be 2 weeks into Summer 2025, or if you go by Memorial Day starting the Summer season, that would only be almost 19 months from now. The park will be finished within a year, and all the training will be done by late Fall 2024 / early Winter of 2025. Kirkman Road will be done within a year, it's on pace to be done in October 2024. The Grand Helios Hotel doesn't have to be open as early as the SN & TL hotels, so Universal will open the park as early as possible if everything is fully ready so they get a return on investment in the second quarter of 2025. You know they won't sit on a completed park a day longer than they have to!

We love Portofino Bay it’s so pretty. We got a shuttle from the airport & never needed a car since they use those great little ferry’s carting to the parks & Citywalk. We will be back in December 2024!!

The windows make it seem Galactic Starcruiser-ish. Cheaper but somehow better because it’s more inviting and looks more comfortable than the Star cruiser rooms. I’ll probably stay here the first time I visit because I doubt I could afford the Helios.

Alicia, thank you for the great update, but I am still refusing to return to the state of Florida until voters elect a governor who will be willing to shut down this theme park for over a year in response to a future pandemic involving an infection with only a 99.98% survival rate. Current Florida governor Ron DeFascist refused to do what Gavin Newsom did in California, where theme parks were forced to remain closed for well over a full year. I want to see that type of control of the theme park industry in Florida. I want government to have enormous control over our lives whenever something happens that makes me feel even remotely unsafe, which can basically happen any time public officials and the media inform me that I’m supposed to feel unsafe about something. I will implicitly trust anything government officials do to control the population, provided that those public officials are associated with the correct political party (Democrat). If a Republican is telling us what to do, then we need to RESIST; if a Democrat is telling us what to do, then we better OBEY!! Alicia, do you think a Democrat will be in control of Florida by the time this theme park opens? Unfortunately, I will NOT visit this theme park unless a Covidian Democrat is in power and is willing to shut this theme park down when kind of scary stuff happens and people get a bad case of the sniffles. While comparing amenities is a solid method of guessing the price point of these hotels, those colored panels tell a different story. An expensive façade does not usually go to the cheapest rooms. The location and business strategy says these should be midlevel. It doesn't make a lot of business sense to put the cheapest hotels closest to the entrance. Also, people will be clamoring to stay as close to EU as possible when it opens, so why give them the cheapest choice? Those should be in the plots out behind the parking lots and they should be added after the park has been open a few years. Makes me wonder if these are going to be some new level, higher than the prime value but not quite midlevel. Like having pretty walls and a short walk to the park will make up for a roadside pool.

Basically, a moderate-level resort that resembles any generic Hilton or Hyatt but costs x2 to x3 the price. So sad that Universal and Disney are moving away from the themed resorts like Portofino Bay. I would have loved to see a themed transportation between the two parks like the Hogwarts Express, but that probably will not happen.

The siding is cool but, the lobby, pool and overall aesthetic is just kind of... boring..? It looks like aventura cubed. I don't understand why they didn't go for radically different designs and theming when it is just the same hotel with the same amenities. I'm excited for epic universe but I was hoping for a style and gravitas closer to hard rock or portofino bay, especially for the park's opening hotels.

Looks nice. Unfortunately, very little is known as far as amenities are concerned. It’s listed under prime value but what will that include? It’s looking minimalistic modern, closer to the Aventura than cabana bay. And that’s fine. But even the aventura offers several food options, a rooftop bar, as well as a complete fitness center. It’ll be a few miles away from the main universal hub so your nearby options will be greatly limited. I know the main appeal here is being on epic real estate, but also wondering if you’ll be able to access the park via a walkway trail. It would be fine if you can’t but all of these factors add up. Hopefully at least half of these can be met.
