Hello good man, I get a different result when I connect the merge of the map picture and the Sphere, it seems to put the picture as a sticker on half of the Sphere and not all the way up and down. any suggestions on this issue? (the other half of the Sphere is transparent) thank you again for this tutorial, I've learned a lot from it.

Do you have a half sphere even when no map picture is applied ... or only when you connect the map to the sphere, then you get this issue?

I had the same thing happen. I'm not sure what causes it (maybe working in a 4K timeline?) but you can work around it by inserting transform nodes before ColorCorrector1 and before ColorGain1, respectively. I set the size to 2.134 and it looked like it was supposed to.

@@TechVideoStack Just finished creating this logo by following your tutorial. I found that it was necessary to reduce the downloaded map images to 4K otherwise Davinci Resolve kept crushing and got to the point that I could not even start it without getting an error message. With 4K images, it works very well.

Well, there is a point in the video where I say that I have resized the images to 4k resolution in Photoshop. Even with 4k images I had a lot of difficulties rendering, as it was taking a lot of time. I had many difficulties making this render, as DaVinci kept crashing and some other issues after rendering. With a better computer and higher resolution images, even better results can be achieved ... my goal was to focus on the steps required to make this 3d animation!

Hi, This is an incredible video. Cool. 10 points. I have tried to do it. Successfully done. I have still some issues with the chrome and gold textures. Could you please give me some help in it, and also in the lens flares, Many thanks.
@TechVideoStack4 жыл бұрын
What issue you are having exactly? My main point was to show how to make the earth and the spinning/rotating text. The materials, lens flares and the camera movement require a special dedicated video for them, as they take longer to explain. I aimed to make the video as shorter as possible. You can play around with the settings of each and you will get the desired results. Maybe my settings won't work for your exact idea. But, if you be more specific, I might be able to help you! And, thank you for watching and liking the video!
@radytc4 жыл бұрын
@@TechVideoStack The issue is that the chrome material has a bluish color which is existing in 16.2. How to get that material pack you shown.
@TechVideoStack4 жыл бұрын
I use the same material pack that exists within the DaVinci Resolve 16. Only the gold material has to be modified a little bit (and I show how to do that in the video). To achieve the same effect, you just need to play with the settings.

Can't wait to try this! Love what you are doing. How are you coming up with those specific numbers from that you are typing into the variables (like in translation, 3.055, etc.)? And several others like that. Thanks!
@TechVideoStack4 жыл бұрын
Well, you need a bit of prior 3D knowledge, you have to know what you are trying to do, then play with the numbers until you get to the best of them for your purpose. There is no specific method to get the exact number, you just have to know what setting you need to change (like the translation, rotation, pivot points ... etc), but to do so you have to be familiar with those concepts first. The settings I've given here might work for this particular situation, but might not be suitable, for another situation. It took many tries until I got to those number and I am just "serving" those ready, to make the video shorter 🙂

Hi, great video my friend. Thank you. One question though please. I followed your tutorial exactly, and it all works. However, when rendered (and now in Fusion) I get black "blocks" appearing randomly between the edge of the earth and the glow. Did this happen with you? Do you know how to remove them or which node might be causing them? I reduced the Glow node and the block shrunk, but never disappeared, i.e. a few pixels remained, so that wasn't the fix. Any help would be great. Thanks again for a great tutorial :-)
@TechVideoStack3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Hm, I am not sure exactly what you are getting, there could be an issue with the free version of DaVinci Resolve (if you are using the free version) or with your computer configuration. Maybe, you can try with lower resolution earth maps and see if it fixes it.

AWESOME TUTORIAL BUD! One question though, when you said you resized them to 4K, would that be the current standard as defined by DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) where 4K is 4096 × 2160? Or a smaller file such as UHD 3840 × 2160, or even smaller using QHD being 2560x1440? Tnx greatly in advance!! I clicked the 'like' for this because there is no 'fuckin awesome!' button, and also subscribed to your channel. Great stuff!!
@TechVideoStack2 жыл бұрын
Hi my friend, I went with the DCI standard 4096 x 2160, but you can go with any resolution. The higher the better. I just had to resize, because my computer configuration could only handle up to 4K, otherwise it would crash. If you have a good computer, try with higher resolution. The final result will look even better. Thank you for watching this video, it means a lot 😊

@@TechVideoStack - YO! Tnx for getting right back to me - THAT means alot! :) I decided to use 3200x1600 for all (except Milky Way which resized at 3200x1800 - haven't added it yet, but very close now) - I also discovered that the default export setting for GIMP use the png format which, for some reason, darkened all my pics which went unnoticed until almost 1/2 way thru when I couldn't figure out why my result was far different than yours. - Have finally resized from originals to 3600x1600 / 72dpi in jpg (90% quality) and the file size is now reduced to only 1.47Mb vs a massive 27Mb png! Haven't rendered yet, but - My cmpt is getting old, but still does everything I want it to. Intel Core i9 9900K and an ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 Super. - Just wanted to say Hi and TNX again for this, I've already learned LOTS more than I did about the various nodes and settings. Thanks for your video, I managed to create the intro by following your video step by step. The only problem is that I can't show the photo of the starry sky as a background that you put at the end in the Edit line. I saw that at 04:26 when you create the Render3D and connect it to the MediaOut, it already has a transparent background, while mine is black. I think that's why I don't see the starry sky background image at the end. Anyone know how to fix? Thank you in advance.
@mr.spyro1340 Жыл бұрын
I understand the problem, I don't know if it's due to the different version of DaVinci, however if it happens, you have to go to the "Blend" item under "Settings" of LightRays1, the path is Earth-Merge3D-Render3D-LightRays1, and set the Blend value to zero. Maybe it can help someone after me. 😅
