Interesting video. I remember driving down to the old Greenwich gas works when they were de-commissioning, it in the mid 80's. I was collecting the asbestos insulation that had been removed from the pipes. I used to tip it right at the bottom of the old Stewartby landfill site before it was filled with general waste. The Greenwich peninsular was always really foggy and spooky and the drive to the bottom of the old Stewartby pit seemed to take forever, it was a long way down.

Even the plot of land for the new train station/transport hub and junction is quite large. Everyone can see the sheer scale of the project that Universal is undertaking, it's gigantic. This guy's channel is going to skyrocket if/when construction gets started.

Wheat in it's very very early stages looks a lot like grass. But that just looks like grass to me. It's not consistently in rows to suggest it has grown from drilled seed. In my non-farming opinion, but based on what I have seen in farmland next to where I live.

Thank you for the history lesson. We need to document things before they vanish or are forgotten about.Looking at Bedfordshire today, it is hard to believe that the countryside was littered with industrial works as they have all been obliterated. Nothing saved for the future to celebrate the past.

No, they are in close negotiations with the government on tax breaks and infrastructure funds. Everyone has been told not to talk about the project whilst those negotiations are going on.

Highly doubt they have put crops in at this time of year. Usually will prep ground before winter hits ready to plant in next year.

Not this year, it was too wet for drilling until quite recently. I have a workshop.on a farm and the farmer wished that he had waited a little longer as some of his seed went into too muddy land.

There are two ways of looking at this. It’s ideal that it’s in the middle of the country and therefore in the middle of everywhere. On the other hand it’s in the middle of nowhere. My hunch is that Universal will decide it is in the middle of nowhere. Too far from London. And that rail line is lovely for a scenic route ride between Bedford and Bletchley but even the line is years from being fast. No wonder there’s planting going on; they’re probably going to sell it on as farmland.

Universal likely knows the answer already. I doubt they let anything out until Epic Universe is fully operational and open. Epic has a chance to fully overtake any Disney park in the world, and I suspect the people in power want to drive that home. A new park in Europe is huge news and whatever happens is going to draw some attention away from Epic. Good or bad.
