This is the best. I went with my family December 2023, it was great! I got in line before 2:30 for our tickets. Had our tickets by 3:10, Got something to eat with our $15 food and beverage vouchers (which they don’t give now). After we ate it was time to go in the park at 5:00. The lines weren’t bad at all when we first went in the park. Plus, the waiting kills the time before the event starts. Food was great! I ate so much and I only waited 20 min. for Hagrid’s.

I found this looking for a good video to send to my sister. Trying to talk her into going. I have done the meetup almost every year since nearly the beginning. I don’t think it was exactly the first year, but I may have been. It was limited to Harry Potter and that was it, and they had an outdoor buffet in each park. It was so wildly different from what it is now lol…I think they rented out the full parks for the first time the next year.
