It's still so wild to me that a purely technical decision regarding the Wicked Witch of the West (making her green so she stands out in Technicolor) has so indelibly altered the popular depictions of witches ever since. She wasn't green in the source material, but that one film version changed things forever.

Part 1 is just all of Act 1 of the stage show (yet the run time is 2 hour 30, the same as the entire stage show 😕) Part 2 is Act 2 which is famously not as good as Act 1.
