They're not even 25 yet and they have such a passion and knowledge for classic rock and essential music and albums from a time that their parents were probably young children. The singer credits his vocal style to Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith... sorry, but that's kinda lame not to mention Plant. Jim Jackson that might be true. But the point remains that they have made every attempt to sound like one particular band. If I listen to their stuff it is impossible to hear any of the influences they discuss here. You can’t say that Greta Van Fleet are a 70s revival band. Instead they are Led Zeppelin cover band without the covers. I appreciate that they may indeed have a wide influence base, but perhaps it’s time to show that on the records they release in the coming years.

Why is there so much jealous hate here? They have been bought up surrounded by music, mostly on vinyl. They absolutely love music, you can see that whenever the subject is about music. There seems to be so much insecurity shown by some of the comments on here just because they are all nice looking.
@jessdayz98106 жыл бұрын
Yep. The worst of the hate comments on here are by the people saying they don’t know anything about music or the music they are picking out , essentially calling them posers. Annoying. If anyone actually took the time to research the band more than just reading what the pretentious hipsters at Pitchfork said , you’ll find out that they grew up on their parents vinyl collection. Music was always around them growing up. They aren’t getting into the industry for money, sex , drugs, power (those artists that do are the real posers). They are judging a book by its cover.
@jaffacake80356 жыл бұрын

Let me tell there is some crazy lp’s floating around and I have a knack for finding them. 4. Danny- I think he’s the George Harrison of the group. As a grownup he has become my favorite musician. I think Dan is the one who has yet to find his own voice, but he’s young and on a great path. FYI, I’m a teacher who has nurtured artists who actually work in their field of study. ✌🏻

wow there is actually a big record store left somewhere. when I was 17 in high school many years ago, there was a record store across the street from my school. I used to go into it all the time and buy used albums for a dollar each. I miss those days, and I miss being 17, and I miss the 70's, GVF truly love this older music, so it is natural for them to create music influenced by what they listen to. but now new bands are going to come out trying to sound like GVF or like the 60's and 70's, even though they don't listen to the bands from that era. but either way I am hoping allot of young people will be influenced into listening to the many great bands of the 60's and 70's. hands down the best era in music, and hopefully we will see some more cool rock bands come out soon.
