Marty! Thank U! Jake still has his tone...even without his 61. Was he using a certain pedal here or what amp was Jake using in this jam session. He got his tone with the Page Black Beauty and the 335 both but was different with the melody maker? Marty let me know what amp he was using here and what pedal. Had to be some sort of pedal??? Thank you Marty love your channel.

@@556andy And how would you know?!? The guitar licks from GVF are nothing special. In the 80s this band would be crucified for recycling and sounding like a cheap copy of Led Zeppelin. Look up what happened to “Kingdom Come” back then who were in my opinion far better than GVF.
@556andy
@556andy Жыл бұрын
@@Stargazer-px7fw I know because martys profession isn’t making music. Its a total different spectrum it doesn’t come easy its a trial and error for years thing. And since when having non special licks meant its bad music? And yes greta van fleet wouldn’t have made it anywhere in the 70s 80s or 90s, its 2022 dude im tired of this mumble rap and tik tok music one hit wonders with music that takes middle school music theory. You’re over here wanting something perfect with unique sound it aint gonna happen, all the good structured unique riffs and licks have been used. There aint gonna be a band as successful and talented as greta van fleet for quite a while because nowadays making it in the industry let alone mainstream with this music is extremely hard and for them to be where they’re at right now is very impressive (snl, grammies, one of the top 3 musicians for lollapalooza, jimmy kimmel twice, coachella) they’re doing something right

When Jake plays, his eyes glaze over and he gets lost in the guitar. It's almost like he becomes the guitar, he embodies it and it's f***ing beautiful to witness and I just hope I'll be lucky enough to see it live one day. I've been learning guitar for a bit over a year now, and seeing him play close up is pretty helpful and inspiring. Makes me want to get up right now, grab my Gretsch and mess around. I love that feeling. Playing music truly is a blessing. It's so great he can do what he loves and have it be his career. Jake is the reason I picked up a guitar (the best live performance i’ve ever seen and really if you haven’t witnessed it yourself you’re in no position to judge. GVF are truly incredible) so happy I discovered Marty to guide me along on this fun, addictive and frustrating journey 😂
