「靈魂若變賣了,上鏈也沒心跳」,Eason, have you ever really read the lyrics of your songs? You would've been a truly wonderful monumental star if all those things hadn't happened.

Give it up, it’s 2023. that Xinjiang narrative is dead. Eason did the right thing by not giving into Western propaganda and hypocritical fools like you. Save your time and don’t even reply. You do not care about Xinjiang or Uyghurs. You only cared because Western propaganda made you think CCP committed genocide, because CCP = bad. Meanwhile you’d turn a blind eye to what the US and Western countries have done to Muslims in the past 30 years. Just stop.
Tom Tom

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. 還剩低 幾多心跳 人面跟水晶錶面對照 連自己 亦都分析不了 得到多與少 也許 真的瘋了 那個倒影 多麼可笑 靈魂若變賣了 上鏈也沒心跳
High school memory...Starting to listen this song when I was about 18, now I turn to 22...So much have happened during these years and I didn't even realize until listening this song again...So much impression from the lyric and Eason's voice

Lyrics english translation part 1 I didn’t wear a watch but I have the time when I was 18 So much so that I didn’t give a care and was always partying Sudden I’m 27 and realised can’t afford the time to slack anymore My vision has not been achieved but I suppose it’s not too late to start Then suddenly this Autumn has turned in I looked around me, I've had everything I should have My fine wine, sports car, camera, gold watch.. are exquisite So much that I can make the world jealous Yet I don’t feel rich I’ll use my remaining to exchange for things that i dont have Where in fact I’ve already used up everything *How much heartbeats have you paid To exchange piles and piles of bills Is it worth it to remove seconds from your life for a new watch? So we count the seconds of our life tightly Yet our skin are loosening up secretly Why do we have to use up everything to realise what’s important?*

Part 2 Hardwork is neverending We do not need object evidence to show the grand of our lives Nor high salary, high position, luxury goods for respect Even if we’ve win the status of a Count, or the timeliness as Chopin Slaving away our wilfulness by giving all out day and night; you forget what makes you happy Repeat** Remember that lesson about TIME Turn back around and it’s already dark You’ve spent ten inches of time Have you received ten inches of gold in return? How many heartbeats remaining? Comparing my face to the surface of crystal watch To the point where I can’t even analyze whether i have received more or less Maybe I’ve really driven mad The shadow is such a hilarious If I’ve sold my soul, rewinding won’t bring back the heartbeats

Part 3 Silver or gold? It doesnt matter Who made the watch movement? They are same to me now Planned, activated, achieved, yet the time remaining are too short How many heartbeats remaining? If you still counting then there wont be enough time The most precious is, at this moment, I have REALISED Seen my life through this watch.. Tiny yet uncertain

+Bubbly Bubble Great translation! (Y) I wanted to add that in the first line of Part 2, ie. "Hardwork is neverending", I loved the original choice of words 劳力是无止境 -- This is wordplay hinting at an alternate meaning: Rolexes are an endless pursuit. In fact, seeing how the line after that references material possessions, the dual meaning of the line is further solidified as a deliberate pun.
