@@tylervincent2559 well i’ve met both of the actors, and to me james has more energy and can move a little better then nick, nick is one of my favorite michael myers cause he’s the original but he’s in his 70s and even though james is kind of right behind him he probably doesn’t have the strength or energy to do these kind of scenes, not strength in muscle, but as in to move fast. he did do a scene where laurie shoots the window and it’s a head tilt, but 98% of this movie is james.

@@Tipsy.42 You mean back in '78? Fraid not...he was NEVER a killing machine. Have you ever actually watched the original Halloween? Michael Myers has been aptly described as an evil child in a powerful grown man's body. Playing a game to whose rules only HE is privy. He watches people...stalks them....even toys with them...plays pranks on them....He turns down the easiest murder in history when Annie gets stuck halfway through a window....Because he is NOT a killing machine. He's more like an artist of the macabre...

@@Tipsy.42 Annie was stuck in the window and utterly at his mercy. He didn't touch her. He waited in the closet, and made noises until Bob came TO HIM. He had Laurie Strode within easy reach, and he merely grazed her with his knife...he had her trapped in the kitchen, and waited...he had her again, between the houses...and waited...Then she stabbed him twice, and he played dead, when he clearly wasn't even badly injured... That's an awful lot of wasted opportunities for a 'machine'... Like I said, watch the movie...

For those of you wondering why Michael spared the baby, here’s what I read on Pure Evil Wiki: When asked by Cinemablend on why did Michael Myers spare an infant in the 2018 Halloween film, director David Gordon Green disclosed the crew's feelings that in spite of Michael's status as Pure Evil, him sparing the infant was an unexplicably moment of doing the right thing, though Gordon Green admitted himself that he can't justify why Michael took that decision, yet found fascinating that humane moment. If it were confirmed that Michael spared the infant out of pity or because he couldn't bring himself to kill such a defenseless creature, it would strip him of his Pure Evil status. Though this is highly unlikely because he is shown to be very sadistic throughout the trilogy and even in the original film, as he likes to scare his victims and even bring fear into the hearts of those he kills or doesn't kill, and he spares the infant because it cannot be scared, be afraid, or even comprehend him, which is why he is referred to as The Bogeyman because he lives off of other people's fear.
@josiahplummer9051
@josiahplummer9051 Жыл бұрын
This is my take on it, as well. Infants are completely irrelevant to Michael. They pose no threat, and are incapable of comprehending the boogeyman. Michael let the baby live to potentially grow up to be another victim.

The original Michael was not a random killing machine, but the embodiment of fear and death. He played with Annie, Lynda, Bob and Laurie to instil fear before killing them. And toddlers are not afraid of something abstract like the Boogeyman, so Michael has no interest in them. Just like children have no interest in toddlers - you can't play with them.

Glad I didn’t watch that trailer. The only trailer I watched was the first. I ignored all the trailers and I’m VERY glad I did. This scene had me shocked, and of course once I was done with the film I watched all the trailers afterwards and it was hilarious because I would have been pissed... here’s my solution to you, Just don’t watch them man. Learn self control lol I’m doing the same thing for Halloween kills. I watched the first teaser. And they released a new teaser I saw it ONLY because I saw it was only another 1 minute teaser, and figured why not, but other than that, NO MORE. It’s really up to you though man. I get that it sucks the fact that studios show the entire movie or important cool scenes in trailers but it’s our fault for watching them. Just don’t watch too much of them.

I think it's more about how his brain picks targets. The two kids bumped into him at the beginning and he didn't even acknowledge them. Didn't look at them. They didn't exist. He then turns and spots a target and starts going to the shed for the hammer. I think that's one of the scary things about his character. Some of what he does is completely random, and unpredictable. Some targets he stalks basically forever, others are just random people, and others he doesn't even acknowledge.

There's too much comedy, which hampers the pace and tone of the film. I watched it in theaters, and every time I was beginning to really get absorbed, someone would say something bizarre and silly. You could tell that it was written by Danny McBride, and not in a good way. All of this, "I got peanut butter on my penis" talk, and, "I want to dance" talk totally marginalized the creepy, stoic tone. I'm not saying that characters can't input their own occasional levity into the scene, but it got ridiculous when it was cops talking about their lunch for a solid 3 minutes. It needed a lot of trimming, because there's nothing wrong with a 90 minute movie. We also didn't get much time to watch Michael stalk anyone, whereas the first film established that he enjoys stalking as much as killing. Furthermore, the teenager subplot with prom and cheating partners felt very shoehorned in, and only done to render the granddaughter without a cell phone. I think this is easily the best Halloween sequel, and the purest rendering of Michael since the first, but it's deeply flawed and often disappointing.

I love how he completely ignores the kids who run into him lol. Even though he must have felt it, he was just hunting for adult prey. There is something so epic about the theme song playing as the camera scrolls up, revealing Michael looking around for prey. ALSO how the kids are first a little peeved, "WHAT THE...?"into "Sorry mister!" His vibe is just so perfect in this. Such a great scene.
