I tried to read the first book and it sucked. Terrible writing, boring af.doesnt make sense at all.. ana's character is boring and annoying and shallow and there are many contradictions... cristian doesnt seem like a real character... seems like some fantasy inside a womens head. And the chemistry between them doesnt exist in the books so why would peoplr expect it to be perfect on screen??. I couldnt read it past few chapters. The movies are great though.

I personally think there is a giant difference between the first film and the rest of the two ones. The director did such a great job. Not their fault. The book reflects his journey, his pain, evolution wih flaws. Same for Ana. Whereas in the movie, it is just Ana evolving whereas Christian just "pops" up. His pain and struggles just become "reasons" rather than an active experience affecting both of them. The movie had the potential to stir more, childhood abuse from parents is real, instead of dwelling there and his turmoil,something that he wanted to work out of, they just made it a story of the past. I guess it then would've been a braver move,to show his scars than to just move past them.

I honestly don't understand why one would buy huge pictures of someone. It seems like buying huge pictures you find inside a picture frame. I am happy Christian bought them as opposed to a creep (I know the irony).

1st in the book that pictures of Ana eventually for José expressing/confessing his longtime love to Ana, to amaze her (but Ana is to dumb to knowing that)...2nd, knowing Christian's character, how freaking possessive he was, how freaking jealous he is..there is no surprise that he willing to buy that..he prefer Ana to have no male friends at all cuz his level of jealousy is another level..

@@imeldaagbu1621 yes we are..but not to level of how possessive Christian to Ana (at least for me)..normal people usually act like what Ana did to Christian (i believe)..if u read the books which more details than the movies, everything is a NO to Ana by Christian..luckily she knows how to handle him n doesnt let him take control about her life 100% like a slave/robot like he did to other girls before her (he tried tho)..
