Don't be ridiculous. I think it can be a nervous laugh, due to fear or awkwardness. Humans don't like to be felt small, some people have megalophobia. Plus, some of the names are just funny, man

Ton 618 is known to be the biggest black hole ever recorded and is consuming galaxies worth of matter and it's hot accretion disk is basically bigger than a hole galaxy
@lejspfister52362 жыл бұрын
Well thats maybe for really small galaxys but actual galaxys like milky way are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bigger than ton 618 but ton 618 has pretty much mass even more than some galaxys but not the size ffom them

According to science, black holes arise from the death of a super star. so in logic the TON 618 was the biggest star in the universe?
@jaredf62052 жыл бұрын
We also don’t know where black holes that big came from. The universe isn’t old enough to have black holes that big. They may have started out as giants right after the Big Bang.
@jaredf62052 жыл бұрын
@@levig4tion472 No, this one is not from a star. We don’t know where supermassive black holes came from, the universe isn’t old enough for ones that large to form. There must be some other way they formed right after the Big Bang, but no one knows yet.

@@spoton6010 I thought it too was a black hole, damn!!! Isn't the entire universe already an empty space that they chose a specific area???
@spoton6010 Жыл бұрын
@@indiananimestv You are right that the universe is mostly empty space, but according to our understanding of its history, the distribution of matter should be much more uniform than it is. A 'void' is a huge region of space where there is unusually little matter, far less than would be expected. You can see voids them when you look at an image of the universe. The big empty spaces between the galaxy filaments (the 'spiderweb' of galaxies) are all voids. Some are small (in the context of space), others are just unfathomable. Oppressively empty for anything living in one. Regions of nothingness so vast that the very fact that they are so devoid of anything noteworthy is, in itself, noteworthy. To give you an example, the Böotes Void is 330 million lightyears across. If you captured a region the same size, centred on the Milky Way, you would find thousands and thousands of galaxies. In the Böotes Void, there are only 60. It is so enormous that were our galaxy to be one of the few found within it, we would likely have an incredibly poor understanding of anything beyond our galaxy. Photographs like NASA's deep fields would certainly be impossible even with the most current equipment.
