Korean New Town In Middle Of Nowhere | Cycling Around The World Vlog

I discovered that a high school classmate was working in Ochang-eup, so I went back a while and met up with my friend. It was interesting that Ochang was a science park new town. It is said to be Ochang whose plan was announced in 1987, development began in earnest in the 1990s, and was completed in 2005. It was amazing that even though the government had changed several times, it had grown into such a successful science city. I think the fact that the average age is in the early to mid 30s reflects the characteristics of the new city well. Afterwards, I received an invitation from HOPEDEN, bicycle traveler couple I had been in contact with before and are now full-time farmers and businessmen, and I went there. When I first entered their city, I was confused for while as to where I was. It turned out that it was called Gyeongbuk Provincial Office New City. The plan here was announced in 2008, and the first stage has now been completed (total population as of 2024 is 22,000). Since it was a recently built city, it was very clean, the sidewalks and roads were very wide, and the city overall was bright, so I felt very safe. Afterwards, I was invited to a barbecue party by HOPEDEN's neighbor, Namu Farm, and had a fun day visiting Namu Farm's sample farm.

2:53 정시에만 식당을 하는 이유는 시골에선 사람들이 왕래가 없어서 주구장창 열어 놓고 가게를 할수 없어서 그런거에요 도시에서는 사람들이 주위에 많으니 항상 열려 있는 상태로 영업을 하지만 시골일수록 전화하면 음식 해주겠다 하는거랍니다. 어느나라나 마찬가지 일거에요 4:12 길에서 말걸어주고 그러는게 여행의 재미죠 ,
