Old Alumni here, everything behind the Applied Sciences up to the sports centre used to be one gigantic field 30 years ago. Student accomodation was mostly off Cranbrook Av at one time. It takes about 45m to walk into Hull City centre via Newlands Ave from Cottingham Rd. Loved my time there, so hope you will too.

Is Hull a good place for studying along with working part-time ? Are there opportunities for part time jobs ?
@DaneMellows3 жыл бұрын
Yeah its really good to be honest, best place to work I'd say is for the Uni itself. You could work in the bar or the club, that tends to be a popular one. Or there are lots of places around Hull that would offer some work for you

Dane I need to ask questions from u. Plz help. For international Muslims students, people in uk are saying thats the hull is not the safe place because its a small city, no students jobs and crime ratio is high. Please tell me something on this and it helps alot of students all over world specially which are coming from Asia. Its a urgent request if you response asap by any small video. Thanks
@DaneMellows3 жыл бұрын
Hull is a safe place, especially for students are there are gated communities. There are plenty of student jobs, especially for those with transferable skills. Hope this makes your decision easier, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with
@muhammadwaleedniaz3693 жыл бұрын
@@DaneMellows thanks for response. Appreciated. Yes what about for girls, what part time job they can do there and how much they can earn in hour or in a week. Also after MS complete, international students can easily get the job or they need to move into another city ??
@muhammadwaleedniaz3693 жыл бұрын
@@DaneMellows in your opinion how much Muslims students are there, because people said that in Hull there is no muslims community means no Muslims international students just because of its away from london and Manchester and its a very small city like a old village. According to my search, I dont see any thing like this. But for clarification I need to ask someone who is living in hull and thats you which I find.
@DaneMellows3 жыл бұрын
Same for everyone in terms of jobs, the pay depends on your hours and where you're working. After the MS is finished it's up to you to get a job and if you want to stay in Hull you can do
@DaneMellows3 жыл бұрын
I'm not Muslim myself so can't speak about the experience in Hull as a Muslim, however I do know several people who study at Hull who are Muslim international students so I'm not sure why someone has said there are none. The Uni is very accommodating to everyone so I'm sure you would be fine

@DaneMellows3 жыл бұрын
Don't worry! You will have an amazing time! Yes its a lot of independent work but nothing you won't be able to handle if you set out enough time to do it in. I think the lessons that are similar to school you're on about are seminars which are (for history atleast) just students discussing the reading so you can get more ideas from other people before writing tour essays. I'm planning on making a fair few uni videos this year so if you have any topics you'd like me to make a video on then let me know 👍
