UNIVERSITY OF KENT ROOM TOUR | TURING HOUSES

Hello everyone!!! Thanks for clicking/ watching this video! Just wanted to mention a few things about the room that you should know if you are planning to move into this accommodation..
What comes with the room when you get here:
- Pillow
- Mattress (obviously)
- Mattress protector
If you end up sharing a bathroom which is most likely you will get your own supply of toliet roll, however if you are in a 9 bed house like me the bottom floor will have to supply their own toliet roll as they have an en suite! bottom floor room is basically pot luck! So if you are room A in Turing houses you could be lucky but there is also 12 bed houses aswell which all share bathrooms. P.S i said that keynes was "quite new" but its not so ignore me ! Note that Block C & Block D are the only blocks that house 9 people, any other blocks are houses of 12 x

Hey, there, Ellie, I'm going to Kent next year for CompSci. Which accommodation would you recommend, and would you say that, in your experience, Turing has good WiFi? As a CompSci student I'd need good WiFi haha And thanks for the video! It's great

Yes Turing is great!! I had no issues with the wifi. Turing is most expensive too thought because it’s new. Keynes is right next to turing similar prices but less modern

Omg hello, I'm hoping to join the University of Kent this September and I was looking at accomodations and I came across a website called Amber Students and I booked my room at Kentish House. I'm a bit nervous because the application is taking a bit too long. Has anyone ever heard of the website or the House itself. I'm so nervous because I already paid my deposit 😖

I wouldn’t recommend pushing your education back a year just because of the accommodation, there are like 10 accommodation options there so defo look into that! Or if you are quite adamant you won’t be happy otherwise then I guess so x

Think it varies! everyone is different some weeks Id spend very little and others not but I do have a job along side this, maybe ill film a video on my weekly spendings when I go back to uni x

I had the same concern bcuz having a washroom for personal use and not shared with many or more than 1 person is bit better I think 🙄😒 Thanks for the tour of the room though.. I'm from Abu Dhabi University UAE and living in double shared room, connected with a tiny kitchen area and attached washroom, which I'd have had to only share with another girl when she returns from Morocco.. For Fall/Spring semester, total of 4 months I paid 1820$ & Summer/Winter 1.5 months I paid 543.5$.. I've choice to take exchange program to UoK or DCU.. That's why I happened to fortunately come across ur informative video too.. Accommodation service is particularly very important at the end of the day I believe 🤷🏻‍♀️😊 Cheers !!
