Love the appreciation shown by the crowd!

Absolutely! I took lots of other footage where there was a lot of appreciation but, sadly, the dancing was accompanied by copyrighted music so I couldn’t use it.

What’s song on @26:18? Plsss. Mahalo from Hawaii.
@ThePaleBlueDot2 жыл бұрын
Do you know, that is a question that has been uppermost in my head since I first heard it? It’s a really beautiful song. I know a few Nauruans in Suva and I’ll make a point of asking them. It has such a beautiful Pacific/Polynesian/Micronesian rhythm to it. 😃😃
@ThePaleBlueDot2 жыл бұрын
PS. "FormEEh Ohyeah", you might also like to see another vlog I did on my channel showing Rabi Islanders (Displaced from Nauru but now living on Rabi Island in Fiji) singing and dancing.

@@ThePaleBlueDot oh. Thought that was ikiribati song. Oh ok
@ThePaleBlueDot2 жыл бұрын
@@forme3h My apologies! Yes, you’re correct. It is indeed an ikrirbati song not Nauruan. I got my wires crossed! 😂 I will find out more about it soon as there are many students from Kiribati (including a students’ association) here in Suva and the song and its ensemble performance struck me as being incredibly beautiful. 😃

@FormEEh Ohyeah One of the oldest song from Kiribati that has been upload 9 yrs aqo so u can find it on kiribati music channel, but easy to type it tittle called:"Tai tabwarabwara".

Yes, absolutely. I recorded Tongans and Samoans dancing and singing during the USP Open Day but because some of the music they used was copyrighted I can’t upload their performances.
