My absolute hero. I grew up listening to the icon that is “Engelbert Humperdinck”. The pride, not only of Leicester but of Britain! God Bless this beautifully, talented, wonderful human being & I would never have imagined that I’d be fortunate enough to get to see him perform live in the UK in Liverpool 2021 & at the amazing London palladium April 2022. My life is complete. Thank you for the music Enge & your incredible voice ❤️

I know how much this honor means to Engelbert. He has expressed regret at not finishing school when he was a young man. But he has worked hard for many decades and proven himself to be deserving of this degree. As a professor once told me: "The classroom is not the only place to get an education". Engelbert has shared so much with the whole world ... just one of the reasons he is so beloved by so many worldwide.

I am just watching this, where Engelbert is receiving the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Music from the University of Leicester. I am so proud of him, for him, for all the fans who truly love this man. And many of us have never spoken a word with him. But we have attended his concerts, bought his records, CD's, DVDs, and listened to, or read anything about Engelbert as much as we could. He is one of a kind. Here I am a 69 year old happily married woman, and a fan for many years. I am just so happy for him, and his family. He is one of a kind. When you see him on stage at a concert, he is at home, no nerves show, he runs his show. But when he is not on stage, you realize what a humble man he is. He is even somewhat soft-spoken. I love this entertainer, and hope he will continue on in good health and we will see him for many, many years to come.
