Met John in New Orleans, right before Covid. John was gracious enough to visit British Motoring Club New Orleans when he was on vacation on the Gulf Coast. Gave a very nice presentation about the life and times of University Motors and himself. A nice man who has provided so much knowledge about our beloved British Cars. Glad to see more videos being produced, I subscribed so should you.

....JC Whitney, 1988 ! .....I rebuilt my TR3a engine with a kit from "JC" over the winter of '72-'73...here it is 2021 and giving me 55lbs oil pressure still.....I bought my side curtains and tops and carpets from Sears Roebucks "sports & import car" specialty catalog (remember those gems? ) ....Always had a JC Whitney catalog handy when I lived in Sault Ste. Marie (Canada)....Back then you could get lever shocks, bumpers, body panels, carpeting , just EVERYTHING ...If not from JC, from Sears....My TR and I go back 51 years now....and the carpets are a bit dated, but not torn, frayed or worn out in any way....just not as "soft" LOL.... I have 2 original mirrors that are spring loaded to break-away and my plan is to mount them below the windshield mount or on the back (side) edge of the bonnet, whichever gives the better view....At 74, I just don't twist around so good any more....

Your Memorial Day 1982 was six weeks after I moved to Grand Rapids and I remember how awful and cold that whole spring was. I also remember a Memorial Day in the 90's in Grand Haven when getting ready to run the Kick off to Summer 5k. While waiting for the National Anthem lined up in front of the Coast Guard Station it began to sleet sideways. The flags were stuck straight out pointing to the East and I was getting a facial. This was not a race that I drove my MG to.

I can see with my wing mirrors, but it's just part of the view. I put them to outward side and my door mirrors and inward side. With the review and those I get a full range look behind. :) But I do have good driving eyesight.

You can get Aircon for an MG? I'd be interested in see a walk-areound of that install - does it look ugly in the cabin or is it styled? Whats the performace hit on an 1800?

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for fallen Soldiers of all wars fought by the USA. Unfortunately, people treat it as a day to party, get drunk and use this day as a kick off for the summer season.

There would be a imprint of the hinge when removed so no need to drill holes.
