I tried everything then I changed the radiator and boom! All set, it was the radiator all the time.

My '61 MGA 1600 was always vapor locking. When I bought it the OEM fuel pump was bypassed and an electric fuel pump was installed under the hood. I bought a set of points for the OEM pump, got it functional and removed the aftermarket pump under the hood. Problem solved.

I’ve seen some grills that looks like they took every other slat out. Also seems like a couple small fans at the ports on either side of the bonnet could push out the heat? Or just add another fan in front of radiator.

I have the standard mk1 grille with no slats removed. But have a bilge blower fitted on the L/H side of the car to push air over the carbs when at slow speeds. I've also fitted another bilge blower under the R/H engine panel at the vent scoop and use it as an engine bay exhaust blower. Plus an electric cooling fan on an alloy radiator. It never gets above 200F sat stationary, and runs at 170-180F at easily 70-80mph up long climbs and motorway driving. All been cheaper than replacing the standard radiator!
