A couple nice tricks, thanks. 👍🏼. I wouldn't put too much force on the corkscrew, it doesn't take much of a bend to make it close improperly. If it bends just a tick towards the handle, when you close the corkscrew the tip will wedge between its plate and the outer handle, causing separation if you don't notice it happening for a bit. Ask me how I know. 😉 Edit: I'm not pissing on your video, I like the hacks. 👍🏼

The SAK- type cork remover is the best kind. It is technically a 'worm', a spiral coiled wire, as opposed to a proper, solid screw. The solid screw is much more prone to pull out, especially from a fragile cork. The worm displaces much less cork material and is much less likely to fail.

How about you just call it what it is. An idea on how to use the corkscrew for something else.

Interesting idea for a hanger on a dead tree or wood pole; however, it is not good for a live tree since the hole damage in the trunk can be an avenue for insects, diseases, etc. to kill the tree. For living trees, it is better to create a bushcraft hanger for the backpack with paracord and a peg from a downed branch (or such). You can also use nylon webbing and a studry gauged carabiner. It is better to follow "Leave No Trace" principles so that nature's treasures can exist for future generations to benefit and enjoy, as well. Peace & Happy Trails. 🇺🇸 🏕
