I always thought they had 2 guitarists, amazing how he can pull those riffs off while singing. That's why the sound is so rough though, but it makes it cool in its own way

It's such a simple but effective change playing riffs instead of banging away at chords. Chords can be pretty but they're not very melodic and if you're the only guitar player you kind of have to fill up that Sonic space, like Jimi Hendrix and his three piece band. If you sit down and learn one of his songs you realize they're not hard to play.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra are known occultists. In the video for their song, "So Good at Being in Trouble", the book at 0:07 is 'The Esoteric Orders and their Work' by Dion Fortune in it. She was a prolific occultist and practiced Cabala. I own several books by her. There are also pendulums and other occult paraphernalia in the video.
@reedca9710 жыл бұрын
That's not bad then is it? I personally am not surprised if that's true. They have a very dark tone in a lot of their performances and in their music, and no one seems to notice it very much. I love it though I think it looks and sounds intense, sort of diverts from what you typically get with psychedelic music.
