I have a question, when we talk about the royal road progression, if we are in C major, for example, the royal road starts in the IV of C major, that means F is the first chord?
@UnknownEX17 жыл бұрын
Yes that's correct
@moezero9916 жыл бұрын
Royal road comes from the an ancient chinese word王道,which means the way to be the king(the opposite is the way to be the conqueror),also means the best or most correct、most useful way now,especially in japanese. But translated to english,the meaning changed to sut-short,which still make sense though.

Finally I have the progressions in context. It all makes sense now. I now understand, how to use these chord progressions. Thanks a lot!

I hear the Royal Road Progression in choruses of many Chinese songs, with some additions: IV V iii vi ii V I
@ChildrenOfDesire5 жыл бұрын
IV V iii vi - this is the royal road progression, and the progression you have shown is with the addition of the also very common progression of ii - V - I, which is well known as the most ubiquitous jazz chord progression there is - but it's used a lot in Japanese music too.

I dont get this progression stuff. What is the progression if you would start with C Major?
@UnknownEX16 жыл бұрын
We were in the key of C major. The IV-V-vi chord progression in C major is F major, G major, and A minor. Good info but a word of advice: if we're searching anime piano chord progressions for the purposes of composition, we already know what a relative minor is
