The thing I’ve noticed with this app is that when you answer a CQ call you don’t tx on the senders calling frequency unless you manually tune via the waterfall before you answer. Bit hit and miss.

That is correct. You really should not transmit on there calling freq anyways. If everyone did that then the operator might not hear anyone.

@@QRPMonkey Thanks. I got everything running except transmitting. Are you using a modified audio cable for the the mic port?

Nothing modified. Just plug mic in to headphone jacks and speaker to mic. Make sure radio is on usb.

Is vox on when you plug them in? Wait till everything is plugged in before you turn it on. Make sure its on USB too.

@@QRPMonkey Thanks for the quick reply! I found what I think is a sound card in my pile of electronics stuff and it seems to decode just fine. Not able to transmit yet to a Classic trusdx but working on it. Your video was the inspiration to try it. May need a proper sound card. Any new tips for this setup?

@rodmurrayVA3MZD if you’re using the trusdx. Turn on vox and it will transmit just fine.

@@QRPMonkey Will try that, thx. Have you tried it with just the USB out of the trusdx like Manuel recently demonstrated with Guido's virtual Windows USB driver? Could the USB audio be used straight into the iOS device via the USB 3 camera connector? I'm playing with that connection to see if I can eliminate the sound card.

I have not. I don’t think it will work as the that is a serial connection and Apple doesn’t allow that from my understanding. Would be interesting to see though. Good luck!
