This song is the 4th on the album Apex. This is the song where The Matriarch and The Immortal meet and she tells the Immortal his task, which is two find her 4 sons and bring them to her.

@@randywhite2646 It's 4 sons. The Coward's Way is the son who is a politician. False Walls is the son who is a prophet or preacher. Ten Thousand Against One is the son who is in command of an army. Earth and Ashes is the son who is the son who is basically off the grid living a simple life. There's a few videos where the singer talks about the album track by track and she says the Matriarch has 4 sons.

This is one of my favorites off of Apex. No need to apologize for not mentioning the plot at the beginning -- you're some of the only reactors to even mention the story/concept at all for UTA's songs, so that is FANTASTIC. It adds so much more to the appreciation of the lyrics.

So glad you're enjoying Unleash The Archers!! This is one of my favourite songs by them. But it's really hard to pick a single favourite by them haha. That moment when you finally remembered the storyline i told you girls about on your Awakening video was hilarious and I'm glad that you're interested in the story as well. Most reactors don't really follow it(or try to pick up at what part of the story they're at) when reacting to multiple songs by them. Even if you don't follow the story in chronological order when reacting to them, it still makes the whole experience so much better knowing what "chapter" you're on and it puts the lyrics into context. I know you're taking Patreon requests, and I'd love to help, but im out of work due to the pandemic 😔 but let me make some suggestions to you for listening to them. If you do end up reacting to them in the future, it will be good to listen to these songs beforehand on your own time, as they don't have videos, and most likely won't be requested by someone on Patreon. You've already done: Awakening - Chapter 1 Cleanse The Bloodlines - Chapter 4 I highly recommend listening to these on your own time before listening/reacting to anything from the "Abyss" album. I won't list every song, but if you really want to geek out 🤓 Listen to the whole album from start to finish (if you really want the full experience of the story) The Matriarch - Chapter 3 basically about who/what she is.. Chapters 5-8 are songs for each one of the sons, pick any out of these four but Chapter 7 is a must listen "Ten Thousand Against One" Chapter 10 - Apex - About the Immortal going back to his mountain hollow to sleep This isn't a "must do" comment either lol you're free to do whatever haha Im just suggesting this to get best experience without listening to ever single song in the story.

Thats the thing a lot of people get wrong, a powerful female character doesnt have to be "good", the matriarch is cruel and ruthless but she is a sovereign ruler whos willing and capable to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals, not necessarily evil but definitely not good and that is what makes her awesome.

She's already killed them in Soulbound -- in fact, she's already arisen to immortality in Abyss. In Soulbound, she brings her sons back from the dead, as undead thrulls, so they cannot resist her orders ("But who am I to be their savior, slave to time? When I am doomed to be in chains, for all my life?") Basically, the Immortal wants to take away the Matriarch's power, so that her sons can rest in death, undisturbed.
