I love 5in. All i flown. Just built the grinderino. Frame parts. Then extra parts and batteries. Im in it for luke 600 bucks. Hope to fly it today.

Same boat on the motors. Just flywoo nin 2750. Was contemplating my first return to rdq. But either this will work or use them later in life 🤷🏽‍♂️. Also on a 550 6s I'm probably not going to sleep when I get off work today for this. Solder in the night. Fly in the light.

I would try them, maybe order a backup of the 9x9. Doesn't hurt to try. You can always remove them later. Or use them on another quad

It's hard to do nice slow and smooth moves with smaller drones like that. The wind effects it more two. 5" is that sweet spot.

Lots of prop wash on DJinn too! Using the same Mamba 3000kv motors with a 6S 550. Tried with 4 blade and 2540 props. Not thrilled with this quad yet. Not giving up just yet. I may switch motors for a 4S setup. I may decase my 03 air unit to shed some weight. Good content you have a new subscriber.

I don't have a Djinn frame but something similar weighing 198g incl. 660mah 4s on 1206 4500kv. Found best results using HQ T2.5x3.5x3 props.

Enjoyable content, thanks. Any luck with smoothing out some of the rough edges? Maybe excess prop wash just can't really be avoided for 2.5s? I still think this frame might be worth a try but I'd love it if someone would make a 3-in o3 without the props in view. Lighter quieter and stealthier using a 2.5 or 3-in frame that's really fun with a propless o3 view I think is a worthy holy grail worth chasing. Still, this one looks close enough to be worth giving it a go. An update with this setup would be awesome even if there are only minor improvements involved, if you're still flying it.

Fantastic question. So as of the day of this recording, I have not used the frame, not because I dont want to, (updates will be provided on the "why", in a future video.) My buddy, who i was flying with this day has the same frame with tuning provided by murdersfpv. I would recommend checking in on his channel. If I recall correctly he may have a good working tune that makes the quad look no different from flying a 5inch.

You might be able to get props out of view on S3 using HQ T2.5x3.5x3 props. Yes its a size down but very comparable to a GF3020 prop.

@@yohfpv I appreciate the suggestion, I'll definitely pick up some of those props if I get a djinn down the line. For now I've switched gears after clicking around for a while and decided on an Oddityrc xi20. It's not perfect with the camera view either but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. It looks like a lot of fun to fly, is durable and even though I'm not looking forward to waiting the couple of weeks it'll take to get here from China, the price was definitely right too.

Did your kit come with a standard single antenna mount? I saw there's an extra charge for 03 mount but I'm not doing 03 but Vista but my kit didn't come with any mount and wondering if everyone's kit came with a mount or not

I dont recall so. Usually they do but I dont use them. I design all my stuff from the ground up. Typically any tpu that comes with the kit I throw in the trash. Sorry wish I remembered.

(side artifacts... it looks like maybe not all of the back of the glass is obstructed (light peeking thru 1:22), maybe try blocking that to keep the light/image from mirroring into your shot? )

3-3.5" is where it's at for micros. 2.5" is problematic for heavy builds like that. Not enough disc area to handle the weight without propwash and generally bad behavior.

I basically exclusively fly my 5". Thought their 3" looked cool, so I bought it. Go to an empty park trying to rip it like my 5. Having less power, I barely clipped a tree and put it right through the back window of my wife's mini van lol. First pack. Micros stay in the backyard now

@@djdubz i just got the quadmula 3.5 in. The thing flys just like a 5 inch which is good and bad. Good because its freaking powerful. Bad because the goal was to have a small ripper for backyard rips. But its too fast lll

There were two stuttering issues happening in this vid. One came from the tune of the quad, the second was due to shooting in 30fps but working on a 24p timeliness. Typically you'd want to slow down the 30 fps footage to 80% to avoid the stuttering issue. Issue was, due to me reviewing the flight ot wouldn't make sense to slow down the footage cause it would not be in sync. However later in the video/ Beach scene i slow down the footage to 80 that way you can see how it should be used. The tune however is still not the best on this lil thing so you'll be able to see the tune stutters there.

Honestly.. how it really fly compared to 3" ImpluseRC Apex running Kiss Ultra or Quicksilver?? It weighs more on 2.5 props... is it as strong as the Apex micro? Arms dont look as stiff... Just don't see how this is any better. Those 6's 380's drop cells like crazy. Agree 9x9 mount is a drawback. Nice review though.

Asking tons of questions I do t have the answer to buddy. As mentioned in the video this is the smallest drone I have. Other than this all I fly is 5 inch drones. So to answer your question about how it compares to an apex 3inch? I wouldn't know. I also don't fly kiss, nor quicksilver. Btw the heck is quicksilver? Wish I could help with those questions, but due to me not flying micros. I dont know fam

@@VitriFly It's all good. I'm a mocro guy thats recently got hooked on 5". Quicksilver is a flight controller software that started as a whoop thing but also flys great on 5" I converted all my bf quads over. Al Mac has a couple of videos of 5" flying Quicksilver. Flies better less hassle than bf and no airmode so like Kiss so you can slide without the quad jumping about so much, very easy tuning and has great tracking. Try it on one of your 5" quads, you can always save a CLI dump and revert. I found 3" 4s toothpicks hard to get holding a tune on BF but flying great on QS. Maybe can tune out the prop wash easier than BF. I like your review style, big up from NYC.
