Cool video. I never understand FPV pilots have so many dead battery issues. Coming from RC heli hobby you should actively manage and understand and use at least 2 of 3 ways to manage your battery in flight, and an additional layer of understanding battery health over time. You should always be knowledgeable and aware of your battery voltage. For LiPo that is 4.2v per cell when full and 3.7 volts per cell when drained. Whether you're flying from 4s to 6s, memorize the voltage numbers for full charge and drained (6s is 25.2v full and 22.2v drained for example) and understand that when you see a sustained (not too loaded) voltage reading at your drained voltage, you are presently drained. If you keep flying past that low voltage, and especially down to 3.3~3.5 volts, that's when you get stuff dropping out of the sky. You should be mentally wrapped up with your flight at 3.8v per cell. Small note here: voltage can show instantaneous drops to below drained while pulling high or any current. A very high current draw (punching out, freestyle) will likely show instantaneous power draw under 3.7v per cell if you're already down to 3.8 or 3.9v per cell "resting." This is expected but it still shouldn't drop to below 3v~3.1v per cell. You should also have an idea of the mAh drainage for your battery. Nothing can really tell you how many mAh is currently in your battery because you never actually drain it to zero (the battery would be on fire if somehow it was). Batteries are operated somewhere at their max mAh capacity and you only actually use about 70%~80% during a flight. So if you have a 5000mAh battery, you aren't draining 5000mAh per flight. You should only be using 3500-4000mAh before your flight is done. And very important here: verify the capacity with a charger and cross check flights by seeing if 3.7 volts per cell ends up happening after 75%-80% mAh consumption. Between those two cross checks, you should almost never be caught with a drone suddenly losing power because of the battery. Except for one last reason: the battery itself is bad and has high IR. Essentially if you have a bad battery, you won't be getting anywhere close to the advertised mAh capacity before voltage drops to empty, and even worse, far lower current draw will cause more extreme voltage sag. Unless you're fine with unexpected drops, or you know when to expect them, or fly gently avoid flying on bad batteries.
