Yes, your tenant admin needs to turn on Fabric from the Azure portal.

I have two things I hope someone clarify to me. 1 at this point it seems to me like a new feature in Power BI, why have it as a new seprate product ? 2 When you say he listens, it seems to me what it is really doing is going to have a look each 5 min, or am I worng here ? Like for example if activator checked temperature at 5h30 and it was ok but it went up at 5h32 but then went down at 5h34 back to ok state, then when activator checks again at 5h35 everything is okay, so in this case I will find 0 emails, but if it listens then I should have an email at 5h32. If someone understood this better, can you calrify please ? Thanks

I have an F8 capacity and it allows me to set up alerts on powerbi batch data, and the alert sometimes works once, but then all of the updates on the values seems to stop. Is this typical and do I just need to increase my capacity size? I find it strange if that is the case and if so, why would it allow me to create the alerts in the first place? I was trying to do this with measures on real tables at first, and then when it didn't work I tried creating a test case with the most basic set up and it is still completely non-functional. It seems to pretend to take one data point per hour and the result is always the same in the data activator design pane. I am trying to trigger whenever the sum of a column changes in a very small table that I have a notebook adding a single point to once every five minutes. It worked once and now the sum is stuck even though that is not true when I query the table or look at the actual card in powebi that I set the trigger on. I understand that this is in public preview... but this is the most basic use case and it just plainly doesn't work.

Apparently if you are using direct lake you need to manually refresh the semantic model. This doesn’t seem to be how it is meant to work based on the documentation, but it is how it works in practice. No table optimizes, overwrites, or refreshes will make a difference. You just need to refresh the semantic model, which can be done with a data pipeline action now.

Could you please provide a demo with COTS IoT sensors like a raspberry pi or a mobile phone app etc. exposing event data and geolocation data, then connect it with Azure Event Hub and plug-in the Data activator. I am monitoring a measure and I can send an alert, but can we eventually send all the products the issue that measure is measuring? Example: products which have been reported as anomalous more than 10 times.

so even if we WOULD change from pbi Pro to Premium per user, we would not have that feature, right? it is Fabric only

Correct. This is not covered by Premium Per User. it is a Fabric workload and needs either a full Fabric capacity or a Premium capacity.

It's more aligned to alerts and triggering off of data. Not really the same as scorecard/metrics/goals. It's not really tied to OKRs, but you could potentially alert off of certain metrics.

It means you don't have to go through the extra step of creating a dashboard and pinning a visual to the db. you can just set it up directly from the report visual.
