Hello! Could you make a video on pedals that helps us get vox type sound while playing in other amps? Because most of the the time I can't play on my amp on rehearsal with my band neither when i play live. I need an pre-amp/EQ type of pedal to help me get a similar sound. Thank You!

@@TheToneLounge thanks a lot for answering! I don't know a lot of bluesbreaker overdrives. I tried the soul food and I didn't like it 🤔 but I believe the lightspeed it's not a klon type, isn't it?
@CC-fi3pp2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the problem with these really lite neo soul worship type barely overdrives with this amp is this amp has a sound that you have to aggressively counteract a bit to get a good overdrive blues or soft rock tone or to gey different ones at least. The Hot Cake is EQ'd perfectly for this amp. Yea the lightspeed with this amp is trash imho it's more something you'd play into a solid state amp to get a "Neo Soul" tone. You need at the very least a Timmy - don't bother with the hipster barely even overdrive pedals into this amp - its pointless the sound 9d the actual amp is way stronger and will just over power those weak pedals.
@CC-fi3pp2 жыл бұрын
With the morning glory it's possible if stacked but its one of the softer blues breaker style pedals. Lightspeed forget it imho unless your stacking 3 overdrives?
@CC-fi3pp2 жыл бұрын
@@daigoHR98 For Blues Breakers the Vic Audio Mount Pleasant stacks well into the AC15C1 it has an option to roll off the top end so you don't get chime boost and it stacks well with the Timmy or Hot Cake. This would actually be god like with this amp.

I like Vox but honestly if you're going to use your amp mostly as a pedal slave then I would without a doubt suggest that you buy a Fender Tube Amp whereas Vox compresses drives more than they should be, a Fender Hot Rod gives you the sound of the pedal as it was built. Why do you think that Brian Wampler almost always uses a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe to show you how certain pedals sound. Sometimes he uses his own Wampler amp which is built in a similar fashion to the Fender Hot Rod. If your thing is Plug and Play and you're only going to use delay and a treble Booster then I would go with Vox all the way, but if you have a plethora of overdrives and you want an amp that will deliver the precise sound of your overdrives then go with a Fender Hot Rod without a doubt. That's my 2 cents.
@TheToneLounge2 жыл бұрын
I understand your point of view. Most Fenders are mid scooped, and Vox tend to be mid heavy. The trick is understanding how to get your pedals to work with the amp you have. Using the Normal channel on a Vox and cranking the master volume gets rid of that "compression" issue. They are both great companies and all you need to make either work for you, is just tweaking the knobs on the amp to get it to work with your pedals.
