Stripe is probably my favorite Assassin character, lots of combo and mess up potential, but still managable to deal with compared to other Assassin characters. There's nothing more satisfying than using gun to push the oppoent out of the screen Also apparently as this video goes live, the game got a patch that nerfed Batman's down attack. Not sure how big a difference that makes, but figured it was worth noting

We'll see as it pertains to the Batman nerfs. However I think Stripe is just one good buff away from being really good. His jabs, sair, and most of his other engagement tools are really slow and it makes approaching characters like Batman, PPG, and Arya extremely difficult. That and he's super punishable on whiff (which I think EVERY character should be) but it sucks he's one of like 6 characters that can actually be reliably hit on whiff.

Top 10 stripe here, well maybe not at this moment but been playin him since season 1, he’s got a glitch with the gun which is annoying my really only complaint. AGREE with everything you said brody keep it up!

Dude i agree with everything you said, like i swear to god the developers dont know what the hell they are doing, but they sure as hell know how to release a bunch of skins for you to buy thats for sure, meanwhile they buff characters for no reason, can't or don't want to fix the cheap characters like Shaggy, wonder woman, Finn, ppg, etc. Character can just press buttons and you can't whiff punish them, is so bullshit, this game is so not fun right now no wonder people are stopping playing this game. The sad part is that THIS IS A FREE TO PLAY GAME, and people are still deciding to drop it.

I just hope they find their groove fast because I've noticed a lot of our MVS content creators are also shifting over to other games, (SPARKING ZERO) being one of them. If Sparking Zero finds its footing in any sort of competitive realm in combination of 2 big platform fighters about to release, this could be VERY concerning!

I do indeed be getting dogged on. And dont even get me started if i fight a Jason like, i dont think stripe has a singular armor breaking move and its freaking heartbreaking fighting against Jason.

Stripe is a character that has 3 major problems. 1, if you have a lot of armor he really can't do much. 2. His moves are SLOW startup outside of his new "bite" secondary neutral special. 3. Up attack 2 almost NEVER hits characters that aren't Jason/Iron Giant. Almost every DI direction allows you to fall out. So ultimately I think he's lower mid tier... but when he gets the hit he SNOWBALLS pretty hard.

@johnex2154 well believe it or not superman is actually easier to deal with. Superman has to stand still for his armored moves whereas Jason is approaching at mach speed with his armor XD

You can actually reverse the final hit of Up attack and hit mostly every time. Saw a comment of you saying that was a major flaw and I wanted to bring this up. Helped me alot with securing kills and makes jab up attack (into gun if the up attack doesn't kill them) a very dangerous kill confirm. Also I saw a comment on reddit saying chainsaw and dynamite helps with armor. Don't know if it's really that good agianst armor but hey it's smth to try.

So I did try doing that and the skinnies "Gizmo, Finn, Jake, Shaggy, Arya" would still fall out consistently, it is helpful on medium builds and heavier. As for the dynamite and chainsaw attacks they have a long start up time. I'd basically have to do that attack FIRST and then they try to armor it... for some reason. It's not something you can do on reaction to armor.

@@BPlusEfforts Ah, yeah I could definally see smaller characters being a problem for turnaround up attack. Hasn't really been a problem for me (especially shaggy) but it's definally something I should lab just in case that would be a problem in certain matchups. Also yeah the startup for dynamite and chainsaw could be a problem for armor. Thanks for reminding me since that flew over my head ngl. Hopefully they give stripe at least 1 armor breaking move to make armor matchups more winnable without taking up a perk slot.

Stripe main here. The chainsaw and dynamite dont break armor. Chainsaw acts like a grab where it holds them in place but the armor tanks the first hit when held in place then hurts them. Dynamite cant break shield, I wish it did but doesnt. Stripe has no armor break and just needs to rely on Too Fast to Block or the Charge attacks breaks armor attacks, since he has a good sair.

This may be a hot take from my side but anyway I think mvs balancing is just slow but is understandable they wanted to stop batman from having one plan (air down special) so they gave him other tools to use while nerfing the down special. The next plan is now to bring the power of these tools down to finally have a balanced character. Or I may be wrong and they just throw a dice to decide.

Batman will likely recieve very small nerfs (i think he got a small one today) but nothing that really makes him worse. PFG has a buff don't nerf mentality so it's more realistic that we'll just see more characters become way to strong like Batman as a way to "balance" him.

Vegas Pro 18. I don't recommend the newer ones unless you have a BEEFY PC. 18 is a good start for lower/mis powered rigs. I did hear that Vegas Pro 22 is really good this year.

Ranked this season has been absolutely miserable. I'm plat 2 and in the past 3 days, I've been put against about 5 plat players that aren't master players climbing, or outright being put up against master and grand masters. Just last night I can count the number of master players I had to fight on both my hands and had 3 plat matches, one of which was a repeat after a person that got master last season. I need them to fix this matchmaking because while I am for the mindset of steel sharpening steel. I can only learn and improve so much from getting shut down 2-0 in 3 minutes and being unable to play the game, wasting both me and my opponents time.

@@LooseToots That's not giving me players in my range. That's sending the top players to beat down someone almost 10 ranks below them. I wouldn't be nearly as upset if it was a bunch of Diamond players though. And even so, the ratio should be flipped. I should be getting the odd master player every now and then among the regular plat player WHILE I'M IN PLAT.
