Sadly the DCS Viper underperforms and is outrated by several other aircraft - notably the Hornet (which should not be the case).

Reputation says it should. None of the EM diagrams in DCS say it should so more work on the flight model is needed. I find it impossible to fly at a stready speed unlike the Hornet or Mirage for example. Frustrating!

@@GunniesLetsFlyVFR The problem seems to be drag. At high AoA the Viper bleeds speed like crazy and at low AoA accelerates like crazy. ED claim that the model is correct - but at one specific point (presumably corner speed or peak sustained turn rate)....but if teh drag index is wrong then the model falls apart....and if there is too much drag when you apply AoA that would mean that peak turn performance is on a knife edge....and it is. The Hornet however seems to be the opposite. If you pull too much AoA speed doesn't fall away so rapidly.

You should remove the wing pylons manually, as they are very heavy and draggy.
