It's been a struggle. I turned the trees to minimum and it got immediately 90% better. It's frustrating that it won't clear up as if the textures are still loading. In the last few flights it seems to be a bit fuzzy again. I m trying to find the answer but not as yet 😞

MSFS 2024 RELEASED TODAY If it's just great graphics, that's where you can go. X PLANE 12 isn't as pretty but can be quite good with adding ortho scenery which you make for free!. I believe X Plane has the moat realistic physics and flight.model. It's photo scenery. Xp 12 has a demo, so give it a try. Controls stop after 15 minutes. Just restart a flight again. No trial for MSFS :) 😀

I did it, but I only have three folders Steam controller settings Rec Room and that’s it. I cannot find X-Plane. All I want to do is download mods. I do not want to sit with the same plans.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

Do you connect to pc over cable or wifi+virtualdesktop app? I have a new Quest 3,4070 ti super, 7800x3d cpu. On screen graphics at max are amazing. In msfs I can fly VR using VirtualDesktop app very smooth, 80fps and low latency. But VR in Xplane is horrible, unuseable. I don’t know what to do, I want to experience VR in Xplane!

There is a rotating Knob in front of the throttle. You can't see it if the throttle is full forward. Use your mouse and it will appear. The F18 has the same on the Rh upper side of the instrument panel.

Totally new at this. Using iMac with Mac Mouse. Unable to do basic taxiing to/from runway. I assigned letters to Left Brake and Right Brake (for differential braking) but doesn't work. Any other tips you can share with for a Mac user are appreciated.

Never used a Mac. Hac3nt rmtri3d differential braking on a keyboard either .. Wish you luck. Should,be OK but recomend a joystick/yoke when you can. Much better experience. You may or may not be able to use a controller. I do on my laptop but again not sure what controllers work on Mac either.

@shanestevens622 Is the nav button set to GPS? By default its on VOR or something? If on gps then auto pilot on and hit HDG to follow the track and ALT to lock your current altitude. Hope this helps 🙏

Can anybody help me. I am able to control everything with keyboard apart from the yokes in the game. I dont want to control the yokes with mouse but keyboard. How to mapp that ???? Nothing is working. Im stressed.

Unfortunatly x plane can not be flown by keyboard. You can use the mouse and get a joystick or a controller.

@RajbirSingh-ol5qo Not sure my friend! Needs a joystick, yoke and I'd recommend rudder pedals as they are an important part of flying. There are some good packs out there like the Thrustmaster 1600 with stick, Throttle and pedals. Cheapest complete option I know of. All the best. Oh controller is apparently OK but not tried it.

In most I'd agree. There are no magic 25 fps to 300 fps magic solutions like many creators claim and.continually push out videos to that effect. There can be some benefits from it though. 😉

If you google DCS T-45 HAWK FREEWARE MOD it will cone up. I don't remember if it's I n the DCS Downloads but it's so worth having along with the A-4 Skyhark. Both are stand alone mods. Ie you don't need any other aircraft. :) 😀

Yes the switches and everything are clickable in these two aircraft. The Hornet is my GOTO aircraft. Dogfighting fly 360 to 380 knots and you should kill nearly everything when turning. The Skyhawk is even on some servers like the Enigma cold war and maybe others. Have fun

Jesus Christ no.... I just gave a chance yesterday to the x-plane 12 atc....after rerouting my approach for 3 different runways, he finally gave me instructions to land on the only runway with strong tailwind 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. As soon as I touched down, the ATC cancelled my landing clearence 😂🤦🏼♂️

Yeah there are newbies now and again but it's funny how flying skills can be lost. I made a whole lot of YT shorts like this one then had a week off flying .. Now I'm the nube, getting killed by everyone. One day king, next day peasant. It's a great sim :) 😀

Absolutly you can and.many people do just that :) You can create a flight plan then download it. The next step is to identify the FPL TO FMS I think it's called and convert your flight plan. The new file can be placed in your X Plane flight plans folder and then opened in your Garmen. Sounds a lot but it all takes a minute or so. :) 😀 The video shows you how to do it all.

There are some on YT . It's nice different to setting up any other button. You need the transmit plus up down left right to navigate the menus. Hold transmit down and scroll the menu. When you release it sends that message. Pretty easy.

@davidwilkinson4969 I use the trigger as a press totally and the top 8 position sw on top,of my logitech Pro to do selecting. You could assign up Down as well as left right to any buttons. Nothing to complicated.

I am considering making the jump from MSFS 2020 to X-Plane. In regards to Keyboard shortcuts: My biggest complaint about MSFS is the lack of auto-pilot keyboard shortcuts that work properly using a Stream Deck XL or Plus. I normally fly the Airbus A320. Is all of the keyboard shortcuts implemented properly in X-Plane 12? Can I control the auto-pilot properly using the Keyboard shortcuts with out having to install an after-market plugin? I don't care about getting data back "into" the Stream Deck, I just want to use the Stream Deck knobs and buttons to control the auto-pilot(s) of the planes in X-Plane. I could care less about seeing the altitude on the Stream Deck. It's all about having real buttons and knobs that get away from having to use a mouse. Thanks for your help!

I hear ya! X-Plane seems to have some short comings too when it comes to keyboard shortcuts. I think. If either MSFS or X-Plane would join up with Stream Deck (duh!) and make it so we can control all of the cockpit knobs, dials, and buttons then we would be set! We don't need to see the feedback of the altitude, speed, etc. on the stream deck, but we need a way to easily, and without programming control the cockpit... Sigh... A program is only as good as the programmers are. I know, I'm one of them. Not for MSFS or X-Plane, but I have been there, done that. Thanks for the reply, Gunny!

I’ve been researching for a long time the F-15C for dogfighting and trying to find someone who merges like this, you’re the only one so far. Growling Sidewinder merges DO NOT WORK. The perfect merge is making sure afterburner is completely on right before merge, then pulling as hard as you can until the target is in the hud. Now you can regain energy while shooting the target at the same time. 😂

Thanks but each merge is different and you need to have options or you become predictable. I try to go flat with both 1 and 2 circles at different speeds. Sometimes climb but not always vertically. Yes having the burners running helps but ots about the right speed for your jet.EM diagrams give you a speed range so note you can get nearly the same.circle performance.at lower speeds with lower Gs as well. There is no one trick. Fly on ECS Dogfighters server or.just watch all the fights as a spectator and hit F2 to cycle through them. Hit F5 to see more of the battle. Good luck 👍

I think that the F-16 is over-dragging, and the F-18 / Mirage under-drag. So it makes sense how the f-16 is gonna have a hard time when it’s losing its energy faster than one circle fighters.

I would agree but of you meet a good Viper pilot, you can struggle as well. I've had a few battles with good Viper Pilots online, and I won a few but probably 30/70 % in their favour. This is true of any aircraft. The Mirage pilots I've met on DCS Dogfighters are incredibly good. There are only a few but I can rarely beat them. It's all fun though!
