It's a throwback to one of his earlier pineapple cutting videos from way back. On that one it was very dramatic and in slow motion and he had that one hanging on a string. I wouldn't be surprised if that one was pre cut as well.

They send and give you a new knive set, and you aren't even able to promote their name correctly. 🤦🏽‍♂️

It’s understandable considering the dumb way the manufacturer chose to represent the “O” in their logo. The company sent him 25 dollars worth of Chinese knives that they’re claiming are expensive Japanese knives. They got the advertising they deserved for what it cost them.

I don't think they gifted it to him, on their website they list a tax kickback (taxes are due in like 2 days in us) if you buy this specific set...

Why do you need a bread knife? Are bread and tomatoes CARNIVORE?

Putting aside the pre-cut pineapple, it's not hard to provide very sharpened knives. The true test of a good knife is how well it retains an edge. These knives are mass produced cheaply in Yangjiang, China, not Japan. From what I'm assuming is very cheap metal.

Exactly, new knifes are always sharp and can definitely cut tomatoes easily. But after a few days the edge becomes dull and bent. Good knifes should be edge often but sharpened at least once a year.

Thank you for saying this. You can sharpen a credit card to an edge that will glide through a tomato...Doesn't make it a good knife.

It reminds me of the old trick of car manufacturers tuning up the engines of the cars they send to be reviewed. Oldsmobile once overdid it and MotorWeek was blessed with an Omega press car that knocked from excess compression even at idle!

$300… unless you like the vanity of owning a ‘Japanese’ knife, you’re better off buying a $25 chefs knife and using a knife sharpener to get basically the same result
