Lynch was a grand master of writing intense, frightening dialogue. I started to list examples and then realized it was redundant, since any true fan already knows and newcomers should gradually experience it for themselves. In the alleyway scene, the bum is almost definitely a nonhuman entity of some description. The timing with which it emerges, coupled with the beatific facial expression always suggested to me that it knew of the dream and was certainly expecting the visit.

Hey Connor. I liked the analysis. I am not a big watcher of horror movies in general. But this scene from Mulholland Drive is the second scaries scene I have seen in any movie. I would like to suggest (although it would still classify as horror) you and the fellow watchers the movie 'Lake Mungo (2008)'. You might have your next content from this movie. 😉👍

When you said the dialog was Tarantino-esqe I screamed out loud "HOW DARE YOU!!" I know what you meant but Ive had an issue with Tarantino ever since he said FWWM sucked and Lynch had his head too far up his own ass. 😂
