Actually Monty struggles to citadel broadside Yamy at long range just like any ship that doesn't get 460mm guns (which is every BB except for Yamy obviously), because generally speaking they don't get enough shell speed and their trajectories are not really flat, which means that most of the time your shells will not penetrate enough to citadel, but just enough to get penetration damage. It's sad, but you know, it is what it is. Anyway, great content as usual, you gotta love it ! 😏

I mostly do BB's but when I play carriers I do try to look for situations like you ran into here desperately needing a spotter for that destroyer. I view my job as a carrier to constantly look at the big picture and figure out where I'm needed but I kinda wish people would call things out more like you did.

I was in two minds about renting Montana as I'm only 3 stages away from the campaign but I couldn't resist and ended up renting it for a few ranked battles. In my 1at battle I destroyed a conqueror at range and then destroyed a yamato at close range . This thing is a monster

I ever manage to get my xbox replaced, and I end up on one of your teams, you won't have to worry about being left alone against a destroyer. I try hard to keep my battleships screened against things like enemy dd's and aircraft.

I'm a decent/okay carrier player but I played a match 1 time just mainly spotting the enemy destroyers cruisers battleships and even the carrier for my team did hardly any dmg but I think I did my job but I got little global xp for it

Xo, i was the Baltimore in the second game. First off , no i didnt want to RAM you at all, i wanted your broadside, because Baltimore can absolutly citadel Massas and iowas. Second you turned broadside to three of my bbs and they cannot kill you is a bad play. But my Team was bad , like you said my dd was absolut useless. And yes i could ve played it smarter too.

It's all good man. I just try to call what I think is going through someone's mind in that moment. Honestly ramming me while neither of us would really like it was probably the best play you could've made there. I love the Balti and I know exactly how to hurt her. Gg though and good luck. Honestly thought that yamy was gonna kill me in that turn but couldn't give a Balti my flat broadside at that range because 9k damage every 9 seconds adds up quickly.

@@sithempire7032 It costs 30k doubloons to boost the research as much as you can. Also I have all the ships and commanders required to max out research for the most part and then it comes down to logging in every day to keep research going
