example: you buy 4 tolvium for 13 gold. so it 52 gold. you get 36% percentage (based on experience with leather alternative) back of the 4 tolvium, so its 1.44 pcs ori ingot lets say even 2. if you cant sell the ori ingots for at least 26 gold you make minus if you dont get the really good stuff from the container. for this calculation I even did not consider leather and others... now image you craft with 1000 tolvium so how can this procedure always be profit, never minus as you said? ppl below confirm they lost more instead they earned ;-)

@lemoni sticky vines and others are must, I would not ignore them as you suggest. since crafting with sticky vines for example gives you double xp (205%) you need to use them if 10 sticky vines costs less than 4 additional tolvium... thats the break even point!

I enjoy farming so I do this without the buy orders. All the mats (and some bonus by products) are farmed by me. 100% profit. The only downside is the time investment. But that's not a downside if it's what you like doing.

Well not 100% correct even if you farm it. Yes you farm it all by yourself, but to understand the market you need to know one thing. Everything you can sell is basically coin. So even if you farm that stuff you only avoid the trading tax but the value you put in stays the same. Question is, are the tax costs worth your time farming it yourself?

@@SmartyMcSmartsen I agree with gawf. I like farming materials and pump them into the market or invest in either engineering or armoring soon weapon smithing. I'm a nasty PvE player that prefers PvE over PvP. Time investment is not a problem for me xD

Besides, my primary point is that I don't spend money buying mats. I get them myself. I earn skill points and extra mats and I enjoy my time doing it.

I do have to admit at times I've gotten lazy and bought the mats I needed but I've never been one to "play the market." I guess I just enjoy the process of grinding out the mats, the satisfaction of knowing that it was my hard work that got me where I am. I guess it's just a different mindset.

Nahhh, like Lemoni said, you'll be fine. I've been doing this for over a year and so has literally every other serious crafter. It just "got better" and more lucrative with the crafting box rewards; which have been a thing for over half the lifetime of the game. Adapt to current trends or die basically. Before they reworked how GS was applied I used to make a fortune crafting jewelry that came out between 550-580 GS with CON + 2 good perks (1 asmo and the rest platinum).

This method really depends on the price of the vines and shard of c.i. On my server they are both below 10k, so the profit margin is much smaller.

Definitely factor in price of the items and keep in mind that you can just get unlucky. I burned through 80k gold doing this and didn't get a single squirming vine which is really the only thing still worth anything on Yonas.

Your profit/loss is based upon getting lucky with the in game loot boxes. Show the numbers for 10 apt crates that don't net any good craft mods and then you will have a more realistic view. Its crap to tell everyone to try to get lucky with loot boxes that this is unlimited gold....

I'm up to 700 leather working and 630 armoring aptitude levels at the point. I've been doing this for a long time and it's how I've made all my money. But I'm not going to lie, these KZbin videos have cut my profits in half. I used to be able to turn 50k into an easy 200k with about 30 minutes of work every morning. Unfortunately I've had to venture out into other ways to make money, until those get exposed by the next KZbinr. Either way, more craft mods and cooldown materials in the market is better for everyone. So it's a double edged sword.
