Nice! I wish you would have mentioned the kind of signal you were getting at home. We have Verizon also. It's the only service we can get in rural South central Kentucky. I get one to two bars and loose it completely on the back side of the barn.

my area battles between T-mobile and Verizon, I think being able to switch between them when they have mood swings sounds great. May give nomad internet a try... maybe..

Verizon was great in my area for a long time, but in recent years it has gone way downhill for everyone. I'm not sure it's their fault because other carrier customers are having issues as well.

Did they get their internal company problems fixed? I watch several nomad/vanlife creators and most of the ones that used that company dropped them because of problems with connectivity and billing as well as their affiliation agreements. Just so you know.

I heard that too but it seems they've gotten it straightened out now. Growing pains of a small company. I think they were using carriers other that Verizon before too, which I imagine could have been part of the problem. Time will tell. At least there are no contracts, so it's easy to get out if necessary.

Yeah, it hurt a lot of creators' reputations in the process. Apparently they were obtaining SIMs under some deceptive or shady practices and the cell companies shut them down. Nomad was MIA afterwards. I would be very careful before I associated myself or my channel with them. One of the giveaways was that they seemed to offer data plans that the cell carriers themselves did not offer. Maybe they are better now, but I would do some research. BTW, your little girl is adorable.

Many places need a way to connect an external (hi gain high elevation) antenna... can this do that?

I believe so. Would be an accessory for the inseego router. I'm not 100% sure about that, but I think I saw that somewhere.

Eaton has router with two 18650 batteries. Separated battery pack is not best solution. Nomad could install battery container inside modem to run without power bank.

@Jon-hx7pe Sadly that's actually pretty normal for the rural internet plans around here. You can get cheaper but it's going to be very slow.

Isn't this the same company that the is being sued by the State of Texas for being a scam? Many other KZbinrs stopped endorsing because of their issues.

Nomad vehemently denies engaging in any wrongdoing, and will continue to dispute and defend against the Attorney General’s claims. Just buy a cell booster for 150 if you have cell coverage. This wouldn't do anything for me.

C band wireless actually has much better coverage than what our phones normally use. I don't fully understand it but others have demonstrated how their Verizon phone will be out of service but the Nomad still has a great connection.

Uh, if you have cellular coverage just use your phone and a battery bank. I mean you’re on the go, being a nomad. It’s not like they are advertising it as a home internet service. Am I not getting it?

Imagine if you leave home with your cell phone. Then the family or other items don’t have service, or you need to reconnect every time you return. Phone screens are small to stare at.
