Some of these led self contained lights don’t use grounds, but the dimmer switch does. Is it alright to only have the switch grounded since these specific are Feit 10w and they have Waggo connector for black and white wires solely. Thank you

Ben, typical homeowner here with a skill set above dangerous but no better than amateur. So recently we noticed the garbage disposal started occasionally tripping the arc fault breaker. Then got progressively worse until today it tripped almost every time it was turned on. (All the components are about 4 years old.) So looking to save the cost of an electrician call I read what I could on-line. Armed with a little knowledge and Kentucky windage I did the 'normal' stuff. When I pulled the off/on switch I couldn't help but wonder if where the quick disconnect "push in" wire is both held in place by the little "leaf spring" and also where the electrical connection is made, could be an issue. So I pulled out the wires and reconnected them using the side terminal screws. Time will tell but after repeated cycles the breaker no longer trips. While I am not totally convinced this is what fixed it, seems kinda reasonable to assume it might have. That was a long-winded lead in to my question. Have you ever heard of this being an issue with arc fault breakers? If not, what do you think of my theory?

Good video. Is there a rule of thumb for what the equalized pressure should be if the engine is off and cool high and low equal)?

Thanks for this!! I couldn’t figure out how to do it and haven’t wanted someone else to do it, cause more $$$ and because I’ve neglected it so long. It’s about 6 times as dirty as yours! So now I just gotta buy a replacement and I’ll be good to go!

Most reciprocating refrigerant compressors use 2 pistons to increase efficiency at a given capacity. A 2-stage compressor simply has the ability to mechanically reduce its capacity from 100% down to 50-65% for a "low stage". Typically 2-stage reciprocating compressors will end up going into second stage to satisfy a call for cooling but the first stage typically helps to improve dehumidification during the first portion of the call.

You can contaminate the RO membrane by touching it with your hands. Use sterile gloves to keep from introducing bacteria to your system or just the the bag carefully to insert it without touch.

I had a problem landlord before that would never run the a/c on hot day and would also go away without turning it on. We lived in the basement with no access to the house. My buddy told me about this trick and I could do it from the basement. My roommate and I were never hot again:)

squeezed too hard. just squeeze gently and let the tool score the sheathing. shouldn't be hard pulling and it doesn't need to go deep enough to damage the internal wires.

At 12:53, "It's still a little bit unclear to me exactly where that power is coming from." Suggestion: Check your major appliances, IE Dryer, etc, to see if the manufacturer/s bonded neutral and ground at electrical point of entry/connection into the appliance/s.

When I see how many of these systems are installed in third world S-hole countries you know they got to be dependable and trouble free. Capacitors? I doubt that you will find a starting capacitor since these units have VFDs, not a standard induction motor.

question..... if you have a service box with a shut off switch and it is bonded. and you have a main box inside the house and connect a generator on it with a back feed and lock out switch. when you shut off the main box switch will the bonding on the service box still be good for the generator system ???????? or do you have to turn off the switch on the service box too.

Not only is this video 8 minutes longer than it needs to be, but you didn't even explain at what point you're supposed to stop turning the handle. You just say, "That's about it." Well, what does that mean?? How do you know when "that's it"? And if I go too far with the turning, will I ruin the flare? KZbin videos should be brief and right to the point. You've got good video angles and lighting though- if you take my advice, your videos will be awesome

Many thanks for this video! Our '08 had the same problem, and I just finished the job a few minutes ago. As an afterthought, now I'm wondering if I should have removed the cowling on the driver side too. Maybe there's a pile of small leaves under there I should have cleaned out that will eventually migrate to the drain... :( EDIT: Read more comments below, they say there's a driver side drain. Can someone confirm before I go back out to the car and pull the cowl?
@LaurieHaley-jy8py
@LaurieHaley-jy8py 3 күн бұрын
Yes there is one on drivers side as well i cleared both today equally clogged and it's possible to end up with the same issue since the problem is debri build up leading to clogged drain which as we know will eventually overflow in to or over your firewall and into the cabin floor board. My 2011 GT drove thru hard rains after beach trip and had small drip noticed but I thought it was ac condensation no biggie but another flooding rain came while in store day later and I see gallons of water flowing thru the dashboard underneath nonstop! Had no clue never seen this on my old Mustang 03 v6 I had 15 yrs. Sorry for long reply its an easy fix for both sides and well worth it to never have a waterfall dumped all at once in car or worse electrical issues that can result from the water. I've got 1 light for tire air pressure acting goofy so maybe after today no more dash warning when my tires are fine. My windshield fluid motor stopped a month ago too so who knows..Good luck!

@TriodeLuvr 3 күн бұрын
@@LaurieHaley-jy8py Thanks for your reply. I went back into the car today and removed the wiper arms and driver side cowl panel. There was very little to see because there's a shelf and windshield wiper linkage. No way to get my shop vac nozzle below that level, so questionable whether it was worth the additional work. One thing I discovered is that both of the rubber drain vents (passenger and driver) are accessible from the engine side of the firewall. You can just lean in a little and clean them out by hand with your fingers. Not a permanent solution if there's a lot of leaves and crud inside that area, but any standing water will drain out right away and the vents will at least be open for awhile.
