Thanks for watching my video. I just subscribed to your channel. I highly recommend this bike loader. We have hauled that bike all across the Western US. The big deciding factor that made me buy this lift, is that I found a distributor and installer about 250 miles from where I live. He was in Wichita Falls TX. I bought directly from him and had him install the wiring and the mounting hardware. The installation was additional, but it was a wash because I saved at least that much on freight. That video was the one and only time that I had a screw up with it. Thanks again for your comment and for watching.

Anyone considering the Rampage lift would benefit well by looking at the Amerideck lift first. Amerideck lift is a much better lift for transporting motorcycles, faster, more secure, and gets your bike to and from without damage , it’s virtually impossible with good quality tie downs to have your bike fall off an Amerideck lift. I’ve had my Amerideck ten years had zero issues moving motorcycles and heavy commercial lawn mowers 👍🏼
@billcarolstravelprojectАй бұрын
@@chriscraft4236 this lift looks great. I had to google it. I never could find a published price for it. They all have advantages and disadvantages. One thing that I like about the Rampage is that I can remove it from my truck bed in about 15 min and reinstall it in about the same amount of time. But this does look like a very secure motorcycle hauler.

"Brings her to the ground!" Understatement of the day! A little too Rube Goldburg for me. Especially considering what one of these costs. I'll stick with my Aluma trailer, although they have their own headaches (like parking, mostly).

Hey MFM. Thanks for watching my video and leaving a comment. Yea I did under estimate that "bring er to the ground" statement. I had to google that "Rube Goldberg" statement, but I do get your point. @@warrenlingg6034 Hey Warren, thanks for watching my video, and leaving a comment. You are right about it being easier, and faster to haul the bike in a trailer. I had an enclosed trailer prior to buying this. My dilemma was how to travel in my RV and take my bike, and also have a vehicle. This was the solution for my needs. Even though it is a little more trouble, i have actually got better at loading and unloading the bike. Removing, or installing the lift takes me about 20 minutes and I only have to deal with 1 plug in, since the wiring is permanently in place. While traveling for months on end the lift just stays in the truck.

Just ran across your video. I'm glad your bike wasn't hurt and everything turned out all right. I think the lift is a nice concept, but there are too many clips and things to remember to do when you're loading and unloading for this old biker to remember. Think Ill stick to a trailer and ramp for my hauling, although I can see where this would be nice since you wouldn't have to pull a trailer around. Thanks a lot for showing it to us. If they could revamp it in a way that you didn't have so many clips and procedures to remember to do, than might possibly reconsider. 😄

After retiring we now spend months at a time travelling and this lift allows me to bring the bike & the truck behind my camper. I could not do that with the enclosed trailer. As far as theft, I think stealing a whole trailer with the bike in it would be an easier target than unloading my bike from the back of my truck on that lift. But you do make some good points. I should add the main thing that sold me on this lift. I did explore other options and paying the freight to have these things delivered was outrageous, so I decided that I would select one that I could go there and have it installed for less money than I could gave it shipped to me. The distributer for the Rampage was about 230 miles from me while the others were further and installation got complicated. I bought mine from AviMoto Distributors, in Wichita Falls, TX. Russ Melvin was the owner/installer. I just drove there and he installed the lift in the bed if my truck. We loaded his Harley a few times to show me how to operate the lift.

…….. Just NO. Let’s do the math.. you have to modify your truck bed, load the heavy lift into the bed.. while in place your truck can’t have the gate put up meaning it’s not legal to drive unless the bike is in it or you remove the ridiculous lift…. You have to follow a billion steps putting pins in here and there, trust none of the cables or brackets get bent or broken.. Dude just be cool enough to have friends, or find a little hill and buy a 2x8. For years and years I loaded my shovel into my pick up by myself every weekend to go to the drag strip, never dropped it, usually did it myself. Why in the world would I take on all this inconvenience and expense to render my truck un-drivable until I STILL found a friend to help me load or un-load the lift itself.. coulda just had the friend help me load or unload the bike.
@billcarolstravelproject Жыл бұрын
Hey Alex. LOL congratulations on doing the math. Like I have said to others, its not for everyone, but let me clear up a couple of things. The only modification to my truck bed was that I had to drill 3 holes and insert expandable anchors. The truck is perfectly legal to drive with the tailgate down. There are only about 6 steps to operating the lift as you saw in the video, I DID miss one step, but will forever remember that step now. I have loaded and unloaded bikes on ramps and that is the very reason that I bought this lift. I can unbolt and remove the lift by myself in about 20 min. Same for putting it back in. This lift works for me. Thanks for watching the video, and leaving a comment.

i agree that we can all agree to disagree but not when it comes to symbolism as free speech. one can like the chiefs and one can like the cowboys and each is allowed to fly his flag. but what you are clearly failing to realize is that some symbols are in fact symbols of hate and oppression. in your warped mind, you may feel entitled to fly your flag and attempt to call it something other than the hate symbol that it is but others see through your charade and will call you out in it. like telling the teacher “fuck you,” you will be called out on it and soon you will not use those words with teachers; you may continue to feel that and think that and even use those words in other ways with other people but here we are talking about civil society and decorum. bottom line is we must responsibly use words and symbols regardless of what we “think” the first amendment provides, and i am sure the first amendment does not guarantee the right of one to offend over the rights of others to not be offended by others’ symbols and speech. it may be equal to but it is not superior to the rights of others. it is why you are not free to walk around without clothes. it may feel like your normal right but others have the right to be protected from your self expression. and it’s why you can’t yell “fire” other such in a crowded theater or use some words i’m sure you use to describe people of color. people have the right to not be confronted by hateful speech and imagery. you can say this or that and try to defend your “right” to fly your confederate flag and clearly you can and do, but your responsibility is to what the constitution is and what it requires to be upheld and maintained, not to your self-serving “rebel” heritage. clearly you can do that, but as the other comment says you do so only to demonstrate your right to be an idiot who interprets the constitution to be justification to do whatever he wants over and above the rights of others to not be exposed to hate speech and hate symbolism. it can be argued that many have died for your “right” to hate speech but the court has ruled on hate speech and it is not acceptable. you can think it in your own mind and in your home, but civilized society requires some cooperation and tolerance. and you should become informed of the fact that we do have a society that is founded on cooperation and tolerance. that is the american way. you are entitled, in your mind, to be racist and intolerant, and you are, but that is not the american way. sure, say what you will and flip the bird at me and others who disagree but we can all agree that the confederate flag is a symbol of failure and defeat and in fact represents a tradition that was defeated by american soldiers and people over a century ago. it is because those people live by standards and principle that those who “rebel” are tolerated. rather than hold exhausted and tired symbols of hate as your main source of identity, grow up or demand better of yourself. that’s what the writer suggests. growth is good. stagnation is bad. ignorance is worse. using hate symbols to exert your rights is one way of using your rights, it is, unfortunately, sometimes the only way ignorant people choose to express themselves and an indication that some simply choose to remain ignorant and intolerant because they enjoy the attention it brings. who uses free speech to hide behind outdated hate symbols? people who are just too lazy to think and instead choose to embarrass themselves and others while demonstrating same. others would kill for or rights, and many have died for them. but them “rebels”… they just “rebel.” we’d buy you the books but you’d just eat the pages. they’ve given you the rights and freedoms, you use them to gravitate toward losers and celebrate hate and intolerance rejected long ago while pretending to love america.
