First off Happy Birthday to young man in waiting, there was always something relaxing about unloading silage..... Maybe it's because it's so much nicer with cooler weather and not having to pile bales in the mow. I unload with a 1952 John Deere A, and always do enjoy listening to the tractor snort pulling full wagons. Anyway, thanks for this.

@mikep78103 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jack. We chop until the silo and bag are full. Lets say around 50 acres
@jrbpa57753 жыл бұрын
Why do you let the corn dry down so much before chopping? We always chopped when it just started turning. Unless it was muddy and couldn’t get in the fields.
@mikep78103 жыл бұрын
For our silos and silo unloaders we like the silage around 50-55% moisture. We got held up with this field because of the cable wire that we found ran through it. It should have been chopped a week earlier. It still had moisture in it

Why isn't the 29 on the blower
@mikep78103 жыл бұрын
The 2940 isn't powerful enough to put it on the blower for silage or haylage. We only put it on the blower for high moisture corn. Hopefully we can get a tractor thats a little more powerful for the blower and take the 4040 off it
