Seems like a good way to lose some fingers. I haul concrete pipe in Minnesota and we have the cable around the pipe as they roll back into the pipemaster

Ain’t that the truth lol ! I once drove with this kid who had his class A for 6 months and he was complaining that his truck wasn’t powerful enough, it was a brand new Pete! Hell I told him son , this is a Cadillac! Compared to some of the rolling junk I’ve had to drive haha. Thanks for the props.

That’s the way it’s done. So many crybabies now a days don’t even want to drive a truck without a Bluetooth radio much less get off the damn thing to unchain. I used to work for PTI, now I’m an owner op and I still work for Ameritex in Seguin.

It's an art with many tricks & helpful hints each driver develops.. I had some good tips in my 10 years hauling. of course we used pipe masters on pipe up to 84" over that we lifted them off

I saw a couple of those pipe masters in action once in big pipe it looked useful, although on small diameter pipe it was cumbersome. I had real respect for drivers that could use them effectively.

You could roll; small pipe off in groups of 3 or 4 in a double up configuration. Small pipe you had to keep moving te truck up, unless there were 2 trucks on the job at the same time, Then you could work together 1 guy moving the truck & the other roling th pipe off.

I wanted to see morons unloading the wrong way and I was pleasantly surprised to see someone doing it with skills. Good job driver!

Yeah it was nice watching he took his time. While it would be nice to unload quick, with loads like this that can shift is better to take your time. As the old saying goes on steady wins the race
