What a load of stupid, negative comments some people have left. 😡 This is a craftsman doing a job by hand in EXACTLY the same way the local town/village mechanic would have done it in the west about 100 years ago. Just appreciate his skill in recycling and rebuilding - something we've forgotten how to do in our 'advanced' throw-away society...
@edbroom75Ай бұрын
The negative comments are from what I call "Paint pot People" Give them pot of paint and they will tell you all about it - ask them to get the lid off the paint pot and they will not have a clue how to do it .

@@robertlangley258 😂😂😂 Have you lived in Asia and used these roadside mechanics? I bet that's a no - but I have... I got a broken differential and half shaft welded and rebuilt as I was nowhere near a town I could have ordered parts from. His repair got me from Nepal to Great Britain over some rough and muddy tracks without any problems... That's how I know what I'm talking about. So how do YOU know what you're talking about?

Great job of repair an recycling. No usable material was lost. I probably would try to protect the jack from getting scratched with a leather belt or something. But I am sure they tried it before and it didn’t work. So thumbs up for this these brilliant machinery doctors in white clothes.👍🏻

He should not lose the iner tube with the pipe wrench it will make dent to the tube there is another procedure.
@robj2704Ай бұрын
The plunger runs on the inside of the tube, not the outside. But, I can't be impressed with the overall job done on this jack. I would not trust it to work around.
@VinniePepperoniАй бұрын
I guarantee that center tube he moosed out of the jack base with the pipe wrench wrecked the inner circle of the pipe where the jack ram runs. The pipe wrench teeth marks on the outside of the tube aren’t hurting anything, but i guarantee in inner ID of that tube aint round any longer, the seal will never last or be safe with the pipe egg shaped from the pipe wrench

The craftsmen are knowledgeable about the repair of this jack and have the right spare parts which are very hard to find but they do not follow the cleanliness rules for the metal surfaces and they do disassembly of the central tube in an amateur way and without any professionalism.

A lot was learned, and the technician was an excellent teacher. He taught exactly what to never do repairing because your life could depend on this hydraulic Jack.
@derekspringer6448Ай бұрын
Since when does criticism instantly mean that the person giving it is stupid? If you can't accept criticism, in this case on SOMEONE ELSES BEHALF, when something is done horribly wrong... YOU are the unwise one. There are many, at this point in human development, quite obvious flaws (that are extremely basic knowledge for anyone that knows anything) in the way this man went about his shoddy repair. I would accept this kind of a repair were the thing he was repairing NOT potentially holding up to 30 tons over top of someone, or their toes.
@adulhoontrakul7617Ай бұрын
@@derekspringer6448 ok well said but l should have added that constructive criticism is good but some are based on ignorance and racism just because of the Pakistan if you know what l mean
@derekspringer6448Ай бұрын
@@adulhoontrakul7617 With this added context I would certainly agree. That would be completely uncalled for, unnecessary and, while we're throwing out "un" words, unintelligent, on so many different levels... It's only because your original comment wasn't quite worded that way that I wanted to add my two cents and say that the repair *was* FAR from perfect, and done on equipment that imperfect is not really what you want. Now, I'm certain that MOST of those jacks will work perfectly fine, and serve whoever well for years to come. It's only the fact that it only takes a single one failing throughout his time repairing them to leave someone seriously injured, or perhaps even worse, that this becomes a bit unacceptable to me. That being said, I think he's doing the best he can with what he's got. I specifically liked that he knew his repair could possibly be inadequate, and so added an extra layer of protection in the two part epoxy that he used to seal around the top of the jack. At least with that part likely not failing, any failure of the jack would likely be a slower leak, giving one time to notice and quickly exit the dangerous work area before anything bad was to happen. I would think anyway, the fact I am unsure still has me on the side of a more standard repair, with the correct tools available, being preferable despite his extra step to ensure safe functioning of the tool (a repair that he would be 100% qualified to do, granted access to said "correct tools," the guy knows his way around them jacks). Edit: This was a bit long-winded, my apologies.

@johnconrad5487Ай бұрын
If you look at 2:40 he removed the inner pipe, you will see that it is fully seated. at 17:30 he replaced it but it is 5 threads. approx 1 cm higher which means it is not fully seated. when the user puts it to some high pressure close to about 25 tons, it will break. He did a poor job of the repair. I knew he would not be able to tighten it like from the factory.
